The Hornburg -- like the Paths of the Dead -- "may have many names," and I have no doubt Laz lives in one. But the Hornburg in LOTR is the actual fortress at Helm's Deep.

If I have a question about the zombie apocalypse, I go ask the experts.

But then what if we get fast zombies. Don’t tell anybody this, but the plan is commandeer a barge, cut loose and hook up 20 yachts to it and haul’em out to deep water.

This is of course after you raided the liquor stores and brought lots of lead. Zombies really only live about three months before they can do any more ravaging. Just wait ‘em out.

They tried to sell me the same thing recently. I couldn't believe it!

I guess a guy could show the box to his buddies, "hey, check this out".

Headshots recommended for Zombie- kill. Ammo said to work fine against Non-Zombie targets also.

And no, I 'aint gonna put in a link to zombietime.com.

Those folks are self destructing anyway. Now if we could just quarantine the place in the meantime...

I would not recommend going to a shopping center. That never works out well.

Or a mall. Yeah, you get a few months to contemplate exististialism, but you still have to figure out how to leave.

One thing we need to discuss is IDing the intial breakout. It might appear very differently, in, say, frozen Montana than it does in Miami.

"When the zombies come, "The Most Interesting Man in The World" will be waiting".

I'm going to his house.

no such thing as a fast zombi when its 30 below outside. They aren’t smart enough to keep warm. Their limbs freeze solid and hinder their locomotion.

Also, you have got to look at non-zombie people as future zombies. The worst place to be is in a crowd of zombies. The second worst place to be is in a crowd of people. All it takes is one infected person in that crowd to turn into a zombie and every person in that crowd is toast.

So you go where there are little to no people. NO people means no zombies.

Even better than a place with no people is a place with no people that is so inhospitable to life that dumb people can’t survive. No ground cover is a plus. Open water isn’t a bad idea either. But you don’t want to be around other boats. You want to be way far away from all other human beings.

Then wait it out. The zombie virus will run its course in the highly populated warm climates. When they run out of humans to feed on, they will start spreading to the lesser populated cooler regions in search of food. They can’t die, but they do have accidents. They will lose limbs, break bones, etc. They are not smart enough to tend their wounds. So gradually little by little they fall to pieces. Eventually they will all be crippled and unable to hunt human prey.

Humans will make their stand in the frozen tundra when the few zombies that reach them will be too froze and too beat up to pose much of a threat. There we will pick off the half froze zombies at our leisure. Little by little as the years go by, the flow of zombies into the frozen regions will decline from attrition and lack of newly infected zombies. At that point the humans will begin to increase their territory into the regions that are not quite as cold. When summer comes we will retreat back to the frozen tundra. There will be lots of crippled zombies all over the place that will need to be put down.
