Mexican president: US dumping criminals at border
Yahoo/AP ^ | 10/21/11 | MARK STEVENSON

MEXICO CITY (AP) — Mexican President Felipe Calderon accused the United States on Thursday of dumping criminals at the border because it is cheaper than prosecuting them, and said the practice has fueled violence in Mexico's border areas.

- - clip - -

"There are many factors in the violence that is being experienced in some Mexican border cities, but one of those is that the American authorities have gotten into the habit of simply deporting 60 (thousand) or 70,000 migrants per year to cities like Ciudad Juarez or Tijuana," Calderon told an immigration conference.

Among these deportees "there are many who really are criminals..."

- - clip - -

"To the extent to which they continue to put absurd curbs on migration, to the degree to which they continue to persecute migrants in the United States in an irrational way that sometimes violates their human rights, in that measure American society will continue to lose competitiveness..." he said

- - clip - -

"Calderon said immigration shouldn't be seen as a threat or invasion..."

Shouldn't be seen as an invasion? Even though the Mexican government has been waging a non-military war against the U.S., with territory as its aim and illegals as its army. Calderon is only the most recent of Mexico's leaders who's words prove this:
In 2007, Felipe Calderon, president of Mexico, denounced "unilateral measures taken by the U.S. Congress and government " against Mexicans illegally in the U.S. and declared: "Where there is a Mexican, there is Mexico."

In 2004, Vicente Fox, then president of Mexico, stated: "We are Mexicans that live in our territories and we are Mexicans that live in other territories. In reality, we are 120 million people that live together and are working together to construct a nation."

In 1998, Jose Pescador Osuna, then-consul general of Mexico, admitted: "We are practicing La Reconquista in California."

In 1997, Ernesto Zedillo, then president of Mexico, proclaimed: "I have proudly affirmed that the Mexican nation extends beyond the territory enclosed by its borders and that Mexican migrants are an important – a very important – part of it."

It is obvious why Mexican leaders would want to lull Americans into ignoring the invasion, but why do so many Americans believe them and the American leaders who parrot this lie - including virtually all Democrats and many leading Republicans (Bushs, McCann, Huckabee, Perry, etc...).

They should be dumped at Mexico’s southern border but that costs money.

Mexico cultivated them, let Mexico process them. We have enough of their citizens up here costing us without having to spend extra to process the criminals we ‘remove’.

Calderon really is in bed with Obama. Sounds just like Obama or possibly more like Biden. Shall we post MEXICO'S immigration policy again?

What is Calderon crying about? They always leave and come back norte’.

The commit crimes there and come here. Then they commit crimes here and then go there till the heats off.

He does have a point though. Our courts jump at a chance to let a previously deported alien self-deport again to avoid a trial. Happens all the time, ad nauseum.

persecute migrants in the United States in an irrational way

He's off his rocker as usual. They take our jobs, attend our schools, get free medical care, commit crimes against our citizens, tie up our court systems, cost us dollars while we make a half assed attempt to get rid of them and avoid paying the income tax that would help pay for their miserable existence in our country.

It might be cheaper in the long run. But then they'd still manage to make it back here before our officials did.

The Mexican “government” had no problem publishing and distributing manuals to it’s citizenry on how to successfully cross our border illegally. Calderon can pound Chihuahuan sand.

What is Felipe complaining about? It’s just immigration in reverse. Nothing to fear.

"He does have a point though. Our courts jump at a chance to let a previously deported alien self-deport again to avoid a trial."

That's because life in Mexico is a worse sentence than our sit-on-your-ass US "jails."

I would love to see Calderon's reaction if an America 1st candidate became President and had a law passed where criminal Mexicans would be sentence to hard labor building the border wall before they were deported.

10% of Mexico’s population resides in the United States.

They don’t want their criminals sent back but they sure pitch a fit when we execute them. And we don’t do it fast enough, IMHO.

Hey Caulderon, or Caulderez, whatever your name is, be sure to tell them to pack their own bean burritos. Some prisons aren’t giving last meals before they push the plunger anymore.
