The idea that we can compute what the temperature IS or SHOULD BE at any given time for every point on earth is an absurdity. Main is soooooo vain.

Last night a post on a new study by some yazoo at Berkeley “proves” Global Warming according to the BBC, and now this.
I see a desperate attempt to BS us once again in progress.
The facts are there. What's causing the warming? Solar activity? (Some). Increased CO2 levels (Some, probably more).
What do we do about it?
Let the free market decide, not an EPA czar.
Note: The authors of this study refused to let it be peer-reviewed, chosing instead to first release it to the media. That should tell you everything you need to know.
"at least to some degree" is not conclusive scientific fact, but more like: maybe, kinda, sorta... I think...
And who is this "most?" 51%? 99%? What of those not in the "most" category... are they wrong, idiots, heretics... or actually trying to use fact-based science?
The Al Gore types continue to beat this dead horse thinking that if they can just beat it hard enough and fast enough it will live again.

Does anybody believe NASA and NOAA are populated with objective scientists?
Somebody offers to pay them to study a “problem” and NASA/NOAA are expected to come back and tell them, “Nope, just natural fluctuations, no manmade problem here”....

OK, so this warming started around 1900, but only since the mid 50s (to some degree!!) was it caused by man’s activities. Just what caused the “warming” between 1900 and the 50s?

Here, focus on this false threat while you ignore the real threat.
Scientists are skeptical mainly of the alarmists' irresponsible predictions and unsubstantiated attributions of cause to trivial phenomena like how much coal we burn, while ignoring fluctuations in solar activity that correlate historically with climate change.
This "blue ribbon" team at least have the good sense not to make any judgment as to the cause of their alleged "warming." They let their financial backers believe that they were going to produce an elephant but have labored mightily instead to give birth to a gnat.
I think the authors have doubts that this study will stand up to scrutiny. They posted it on a berzerkely blog instead of submitting it to review by qualified skeptical peers. I think I'll wait for the process to go forward before taking even these modest findings very seriously.
Sometimes the clobe is warmer, sometimes the globe is cooler, and it's been happening WITHOUT mankinds help for longer than mankind has been around.
We didn't cause global cooling and we're not causing global warming.
We don't cause sunrise, sunset, sunspots, tidal waves, cloudy days, sunny days, hurricanes....etc etc etc
