Yes, the man is a conspiracy nut. But the curious thing about this is that He somehow thought Obama was born in Kenya way back in 2005.

I wonder where he got that idea? You better hope none of this nonsense leads back to a legitimate media story or your narrative is going to suffer.

I did happen to notice that the link to the Chicago Sun times is inoperative. I wonder what would happen if I poked around in their archives for the date in question? They probably deleted and/or replaced the story, just like NPR did. (Thank God for screen shots!)

I don't see why you would be concerned about that. You are unable to approach the world rationally, and you get things wrong all the time. :)

The question is, did Lynn Sweet re-write the story or not? (The way NPR did.) I've noticed her story of August 29th 2005 gets it right, and perhaps that is the only story out there. But it begs the question. If she wrote her story on 8/29/05, why is the date on the Skolnick story 8/28/05 ? One would think she would have to have written it first, before he could link to it.

The guy might have been a nut, but I doubt he could predict the future.

It also seemingly took them a long time to copyright the story.

Now you, of course, have a perfectly reasonable explanation for these little quirks which you will now favor us with. :)

I understand the incident happened on Sunday the 28th in Perm, Russia.

The news articles I read seem to indicate that it took place in the morning as the Senators were in Kiev on Sunday night.

When it's noon on Sunday in Perm, it's around 2 AM Sunday on the US East Coast, roughly ten hours behind. If this happened at 9 AM in Perm, it was 11 PM Saturday on the US East Coast.

So a whacked out conspiracy nut could run with his wild interpretation of the story on his personal blog immediately after hit the US news wires later that Sunday (the 28th) and a more rational writer might submit a story to her editor that night for publishing the next day, Monday the 29th.

Or is that too crazy for you?
