GOP Insiders Near-Unanimous in Predicting Romney Nomination
National Journal ^ | October 28, 2011 | Taylor West and Peter Bell

The large Republican presidential field, along with the dramatic surges and collapses of several of its candidates, may ultimately be much ado about nothing. That, at least, is the conclusion of the Republican strategists surveyed in this week's National Journal Political Insiders Poll, who almost unanimously identified Mitt Romney as the most likely candidate to win the nomination. In the five times the GOP Insiders have been asked that question in 2011, Romney has never surrendered the top spot.

The GOP leadership does not care if we lose to zero, as long as they gain control of the Senate and the House. They know they will control both, with leaders such as Bonier and McConnel and the rest of the entrenched Rhino’s. That way, they retain the power and can pawn off all failures on Zero. For their own existence, they need a scapegoat, and they know Romney is hated enough to loose.

Thoughts?

I’m glad ‘insiders’ don’t select the nominee.

No Romney. Not now, not EVER.

The GOP INSIDERS need to switch to the commiecrat party already and be done with it.

Dubya you are behind the times. The GOP insiders are progressives and that is a term picked to hide the fact of being communists.

Thoughts?

Yes. The "GOP insiders" make up less than 25% of registered Republican voters, and less than 14% of GOP primary voters.

Your "GOP insiders" are commie infiltrators who more properly belong in the Democrat party. They are the Trotsky wing of the communist insurgency that has been incrementally destroying the USA for the past century.

And your Commie Romney is simply the latest in a long line of poseur candidates they have put forth in their power-sharing arrangement with their Leninist comrades in the Democrat party.

Your thoughts?

“That (Romney nominee), at least, is the conclusion of the Republican strategists surveyed in this week’s National Journal Political Insiders Poll......”

Really. Sounds more like RINO establishment hacks and/or MSM shilling for the weakest candidate to put up against their chosen One.

If the GOP elitistpukes force Romney on us, he will most assuredly lose.

I can only assume that’s what they want.

DC...the RinoCracy..could care less whether they have Romney or Obama in the hot seat.either way they have ObamaCare to play with from here on out

Any other President would have a legitimate and real run at the bill.

BTW..even if they dare to nominate Romney...a third party candidate-which will be probable-..unless one of Ross Perot magnitude, merely assure Obama’s re-election.

Any way you slice it...its a big extended middle finger to Flyover Country.

If the Flip-flopper was “the chosen one” from the beginning, it seems like an awful waste of money campaigning.

If Romney is the nominee I won’t vote.

If America falls, I won’t assist it.

So who are these magnificent strategist specimans that can predict the future so accurately? I assume Karl Rove is one of them. We all know how stellar he performed in the GOP blow-outs in 2006 & 08. Cain is leading Romney is just about every poll I see, and yet these RINO insiders are so confident of a Romney win? Have they rigged all the primaries coming up?

Actually it is amazing how horribly these GOP insiders have been in the past, and even more horrible that anyone listens to them.

Refused to vote for McCain, refuse to vote for Romney.

If the GOP can't find a single conservative candidate to put on the ticket who has the chance to gain the nomination, I won't vote GOP again. period. Case closed. End of discussion.

I'd have voted for Sarah. Might vote for Cain. Might vote for Michelle. Romney? Not no way, not no how!

“...You would think that the GOP would join the rest of us ...”

It isn’t “the GOP”. It’s LIBERALS in the GOP, controlling money, controlling the direction, controlling the way things are done.

We need to see their faces, put names to those faces, and throw their asses out into the dirt. With extreme prejudice.

Again, the war is between LIBERALS and the rest of us. Libs have sold their souls (if they ever had them) to the communist/socialist internationale.

Goal #15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.

Communist Goals (1963) - entered into the Congressional Record

Ditto prisoner 6. We will not stay home and we will not support a big gov R. Obamas deadliest apples mature in the next prez term, unless we have a Cinstitution abiding leader. I know this country would survive another term.. It would mean the absolute end of the gimmie -crats. I am surprised that fellow Freepers would vote for Romney. How have we failed to bring Freepers on board? I just don’t get it.
