With the US economy suffering through its deepest slump since the Great Depression, the Obama administration has designed a political strategy to match, with echoes of the campaign rhetoric deployed by Franklin Roosevelt in the 1930s.
Throwing out the standard presidential playbook dictating an aspirational pitch to centrist voters, the White House is cementing a high-risk message that strikes firmly at wealth and privilege.

Unfortunately, “the rich” can’t help themselves. They can’t give their money to Barry’s reelection campaign fast enough.
With what is happening to our economy, it’s really smart to be constantly attacking the people who could recover it if they were allowed to. Zero is either blindingly incompetent or is intentionally trying to steer the ship onto the rocks, either is equally possible.
Obama is a community organizer. Rules for Radicals is the only playbook he knows or cares about.
Yep - just like his support from the Jewish community; very confusing.
What risk? Generations of racial quotas in hiring, “integration” in public schools, “diversity” and “zero tolerance” policies, a massive and ever-growing subsidized underclass, total control of the “news” media and entertainment media, and vastly growing deficits to push through a massive tax increase have shifted wealth into the hands of people who didn’t earn any of it.
Seems the beard of the Golden Child is on her own mission to expose the EVILLLLLLLLLLL Republicans. The following from a recent speech:
“Lets not forget about what it meant when my husband appointed those two brilliant Supreme Court justices (applause) and for the first time in history, our daughters and our sons watched three women take their seats on our nations highest court. (Applause.) But more importantly, lets not forget the impact those decisions will have on our lives for decades to come on our privacy and security, on whether we can speak freely, worship openly, and love whomever we choose. That is whats at stake here. (Applause.)
I get a kick out of the touching: “and love whomever we choose...”
I dare say that if that were to be, then Barry would kick BerthaButt to the curb and skip through the rose garden to his Reggie Love the FBFOTUS.
He sure loves shutting down both sides of Park Avenue as his motorcade zips up to some socialite's apt at 75th.
What’s really ironic is that Zero and his wife have lived 4 lifetimes’ worth of wealth and privilege. He was paid like a lawyer to piss around with the Harvard Law Review, sponging off the people that actually had some semblance of some brains. Then he spent 144 days in Congress, voting “Present”, sponsoring and co-sponsoring ZERO bills, and showing no leadership or even an indication that he was awake.
Michelle worked several $350,000/year no-show jobs on hospital boards. She had to spend 4 hours/week answering e-mails, arranging do-nothing business meetings for 10 hrs/week, and every year she had to do a 20-minute presentation to the board. She’s really convincing when she talks about coming up the hard way and worrying about how her bills would be getting paid.
Now she and her husband take multi-million dollar vacations in between million dollar parties at the White House.
The way I see it, the more he rants against the rich, the better. He seems to forget that there ARE rich democrats and those folks aren’t likin’ what they’re hearin’. It’s going to be hard for them to vote for him again.
At taxpayers' expense.
The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the US Government cannot pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies. Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that, the buck stops here. Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.”
~ Senator Barack H. Obama, March 2006
