I’ve seen you post this in two different threads. How about a link to back it up?
Newt would make a hundred times better president than any of the other pretenders out there, including Herman Cain, who I like.
But Cain would be swallowed alive in Washington, and not even know. We need someone who knows the ropes.
Nwt, Cain, and Ron Paul are the only ones running as themselves and not “I’m not Romney”. But Ron Paul is Ron Paul, and Cain is Cain, and there’s the problem...
I guess McDonalds and Burger King were booked......[insert low whistle here]
Yes let’s definitely vote for Cain who has less political experience than Obama.
That would be the wise thing to do.
His depth of knowledge is unsurpassed, he plays chess while the others play checkers.

The devil knows the bible better than anyone on earth. Aside from all the other things he’s guilty of, I can’t vote for someone that’s been married 3 times, and not because he’s been widowed. His wives couldn’t trust him, and my relationship with him is even less personal, so why should he show any loyalty or integrity to me, a voter?
Nobody’s defending him...but looking at where we are...who we have to vote for and most don’t expect perfection in a candidate.
Just like those still trying to make issue over the sofa affair with Pelosi...keep stroking the old stuff and never coming up to par with anything which took place after that...
Most have determined Newt can hit the ground running...take on Obama in a heartbeat...knows how to manuver the Congress to get them to act...and of course he’ll make some mistakes...most do because they have to constantly dodge hardballs in Washington...some are going to hit.
How about some history Pops88.
Newt was married the first time at 19yrs. old to one of his teachers who was 26....now it doesn’t take much to realize that didn’t exactly have the best chances of working out from the get go.
Newt’s second wife was the one who asked for a divorce....he married her on the rebound from the first wife...and she knew that as well as Newt. Newt’s own daughter has come forward to clear the air on what actually happened between them...he did not abandon her while ill as the media has run with....and she simply did not want to continue in the political mode with Newt...she never wanted to in the first place.
Married 3 times shows extremely bad judgement, regardless how much of a “victim” he would seem. I don’t buy it. He is a political and public whore.
Well I would expect to see photos of any congressmen with other congressmen...they do after alll work together...usually.
The fact he has those connections is a plus... for there will be no time to waste to learn how to navigate thru the politicians, who they are where they stand etc...most of all “HOW they play... in the Washington maze...that is to our advantage.
Newt will do whatever he has to to get done what he wants done...even if that means give on smaller issues in order to drive home the big issues....and he knows HOW to get those who resist to bend.
Were are nation healthy I would consider an “Unknown”...but it’s not and there simply isn’t going to be time in a learning curve....if Cain were to get it I am pretty confident Newt would lead the way...rather like Chenney did Bush....not seen as much as his voice was frequently heard and it mattered...so would Newt’s...as VP...no way would he be a Biden Idiot...never happen.
Agree.
Cain is making stuff up as he goes along. Basic, fundamental stuff like abortion issues, middle east peace (”right of return”), and terrorism (negotiating with hostage takers).
It was nice, however, to hear him use the phrase “so-called Palestinians”
Newt’s apologized and that profusely for his mistakes...further he “sought God’s forgiveness not his understanding but his forgiveness”...I believe him and looked at this very carefully. His wife was very instrumental in Newt seeking God and why he so often mentions this country getting back to God..and in his books as well.
Whatever has been in the past with Newt, is in the past, but so far he has proven to be a better man for that time He sought God.
The best connections Newt has inside the beltway is to the political ‘atms’. Newt’s been in it for the money for years now and that’s not changing.
Newt is sort of like Capital One except he ask; What goes into my wallet?
See post #14. Get it?
CAIN will have our vote...and lets clean up Congress and get rid of all ‘oldies’ and bring in fresh new ideas and blood.
Tee hee, your jealousy of Newt’s command of facts and his experience is amusing. But it is disturbing how much zeal some can put into trying to have their favored candidate win the nomination by default, and are willing to utter idiotic comments mischaracterizing any but their own chosen rino. There are three or four good prospects left from whom to pick: Cain, Gingrich, Perry, and Santorum. With the methodology some have sold out their souls for, there will not be anything but a weakened default winner. That won’t encourage turnout, but I expect that doesn’t matter to those using the lsash and burn methods you seem to prefer.
Newt had his big chance. He was tested and he failed. What Newt says and what Newt does are different. I would like to see someone in the White House who will bring in new capable persons to advise him and oversee their given positions. Cains picks would likely be from the private sector rather than the old let me try it just one more time moron RINOCRATS still living from the Nixon/Ford/Bush years who have ran things in every GOP administration but Reagans. Cain is the only GOP choice I see which might possibly get us that. Second selling point to me is Rove does not like Cain. That is a huge plus as well for Cain in my book.
Newts apologized and that profusely for his mistakes...further he sought Gods forgiveness not his understanding but his forgiveness...I believe him and looked at this very carefully. His wife was very instrumental in Newt seeking God and why he so often mentions this country getting back to God..and in his books as well.

I’m aware of this. He may regret his mistakes, but I have to consider the fact a dog returns to his vomit. He may be speaking the truth, but in my eyes, he is disqualified to hold the highest office in the land. I’ve had kids. They’ve said “sorry” plenty. I’m not that gullible. I want someone that has lived a life of integrity, not just recently discovered it. He won’t get my vote. VP maybe, but not president.
Yes, Obama's 'political experience' has surely helped him govern this nation. /s
Cain has more executive experience in his past than the Marxist Kenyan has now or ever will. Compared to Zer0, Cain is eminently qualified to be POTUS.
