A new report claims that Republican presidential contender Herman Cain voted for Democrat Bill Clinton for president in his first run, as well as for two Nebraska Democratic candidates in the past.

In a story on the Nebraska Watchdog website, Joe Jordan writes that Mr. Cain supported Mr.Clinton during his 1992 presidential bid, 17 months before he squared off with Mr. Clinton over his push to overhaul the national health care system.

Just wondering how all the “Perry supported Gore in ‘88, so I'll never vote for him” people will deal with this little piece of info.

? How the Hell would someone know who you vote for when we have SECRET ballots?

On the Nebraska Democrats, would that be really bad considering Chuck Hagel would have been the Republican he voted against or Ben Nelson the Democrat he voted for?

Nebraska United States Senate election, 1996[40]

Chuck Hagel (R) - 379,933 (56.12%)
Ben Nelson (D) - 281,904 (41.64%)
John W. DeCamp (Libertarian) - 9,483 (1.40%)
Bill Dunn (Natural Law) - 4,806 (0.71%)
Write-ins - 832 (0.12%)

The 4%ers can't wait to attack Herman Cain, the only man who stands between Mitt Romney and the Republican nomination.

Yes! It’s time for as many pics as we can find of Perry looking like he’s letting one go while gazing off into the distance in front of a flag.

So did I.

Then I watched Waco.

And the world was never the same again.

i call bs and who cares...Reagan used to be a democrat too. People change and get better. I never knocked Perry for his past as a democrat.

The media and the republican establishment are running a full court press on Cain...

We must stand strong he’s the best shot at conservatism we have

In 1992 Clinton was more conservative than GHW Bush.

True that. Hagel made Nelson look like the right-winger.

Um, yeah, a whole bunch of people voted for the Dems in the past and have come around of late.

I’ve got problems with Cain, but throwing out the idea he voted for Clinton or other Dems 20 years is not one of them in all honesty.

Hell, I voted for the Dem Sheriff candidate in the last local election because he was a damned sight better person than the GOP option. Are national Dems today worth that same damn? Largely no. Were they 20 years ago? Somewhat.

Herman Cain having voted for a Democrat in the last couple of decades is not a deal-killer by any means.

Anyone else?
