Guys like Bill Cellini don't get indicted in Illinois. And the puppet masters don't sit at the defense table in federal court, tapping their fingers, waiting for the jury to pronounce judgment.
*snip*
They're Democrats, they're Republicans. They're the bosses of the Combine.
*snip*
All involved should know that their ((prosecutors)) work is appreciated, by every taxpayer in this thoroughly corrupt state who've wondered how the puppet masters of the Combine keep getting away with it. On Tuesday, they didn't get away with it.
And Bill Cellini went down.

While they do associate themselves with Parties, there really is no difference between them here in IL. None.
There, fixed it for ya.

The entire article is a MUST read .. for Kass' personal insight into the decades long, corrupt history of IL pols and crony networks of BOTH parties. Realizing the depth of the cancer is breathtaking .. and party doesn't matter .. OUR guys are just as filthy corrupt, too.
Corruption drains Illinois residents
*snip*
"It means hundreds of millions of dollars lost in waste,'' said Dick Simpson, a former Chicago alderman and head of political science at the University of Illinois in Chicago.
All together, 1,000 public officials and businessmen have been convicted of public corruption in Illinois since 1970, Simpson found. That includes 19 Cook County judges, 30 Chicago aldermen, two members of Congress and two governors - plus another imprisoned for crimes unrelated to state government.
Then there's Gov. Rod Blagojevich, who was arrested in December on charges of trying to squeeze money out of candidates seeking an open U.S. Senate seat. His arrest seemed to ramp up anger over public corruption.
It's impossible to calculate the full cost of the corruption tax.
Simpson has come up with a $300 million estimate, but that focuses on the Chicago area and doesn't directly apply to taxpayers downstate.

Mylord ... can you imagine the cost of this thuggery statewide? What a horrendous ransom. At least, thank God another dirty player .. the big manipulator .. is taken out of the game .. maybe. But where does it end?
IS EVERY STATE THIS ROTTEN AND CORRUPT ?
*Combiner Ping*
“IS EVERY STATE THIS ROTTEN AND CORRUPT ?”
Illinois really is special, partly because of the nature of the “Combine” that Kass always refers to - Republicans who are really just toadies for the Democrats in Chicago and Springfield.
But the real problem, in this state, other states, and nationwide, is government size. The bigger the government, the more power it has, the greater the rewards of corruption, and the easier it is to hide corrupt behavior and get away with it.
Job one for the populace should be to whittle government down at all levels to the smallest size possible. If the government can’t do much, it can’t do much wrong, and the people who populate that government have less incentive to game the system.
Solid gold Wisdom.
Unfortunately, it's just not in Illinois where it's like that.
For all of its problems, at least it is very friendly to home schoolers. Also, once you leave Chicagoland, the rest of the folks are alright, unlike states like Massachusetts and Connecticut, that are almost completely gone.
I don't think it can be stated much better than you do. Well done.
Article I read said he’s going to appeal.
Who knows?
Where’s Rezko?
His sentencing was awaiting the end of this trial,
due to who knows what complication .. just crazy,
so ....
I’d so love to know: is ANYBODY talking?
Cellini is combiner slime and an uber-RINO to boot who helped elect crooked liberals in both parties. Of course, the mere fact he has an "R" next to his name no doubt means some freepers will insist he is "victim" of a "partisan prosecution" by Patrick Fitzgerald (Fitzgerald is "partisan" unless he only indicts D's dontsa know... if he indicts scum in BOTH parties that somehow makes him a "Democrat hack")
As for me, I'm just as disgusted with "conservatives" who believe Republicans are incapable of corruption as I am with brain dead Dem voters who believe their Chicago machine masters have their best interests as heart. NEVER put party ahead of patriotism.
Personally I think he's totally guilty....Because he's whining too much about it.
And I think he's a slime ball....
An apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
Name any FReeper that has said Cellini is a victim of Fitz?
