Cast of Characters in the Lynching of Herman Cain

Chris Wilson of Wilson Research Strategies has said publicly that while he was working for Herman Cain at the National Restaurant Association (NRA) in the late 1990′s that he personally saw Cain sexually harass a woman at a restaurant in Virginia although Wilson has not said exactly what he believes constituted his claim of “harassment.”

WHO IS CHRIS WILSON?

Chris Wilson was the Executive Director of the Republican Party of Texas under then-governor George W. Bush. Chris Wilson worked very closely with Karl Rove. Rove was known to us in Texas as the “master of dirty political tricks. ” I suspect that Rove taught Chris Wilson the art of deception.

KARL ROVE

Karl Rove has been accused of being the source behind countless dirty tricks, whisper campaigns, smear tactics, and character assassinations.

I have dealt personally with Karl Rove.

No CEOs do not hire and fire, that is why you have a personal department. It is a really new thing, I think they will have degree in personal management in the next few years. SAC off.

And no, no one knew the Wilson jerk was an employee of perry's. I looked up who he was after the interview. The miss direct of the perry team was he, Wilson was from Oklahoma and had ties to mitt.

Rove had that little pasty white toothy grin going on while he scribbled on his white board just before this cr@p hit the fan. These people are so transparent.

Good for you.

I’m NOT NOT NOT saying sexual harassment is a fiction, or that women ‘deserve’ to be treated with anything less than the complete respect all people deserve.

What I am saying is that there are harsh realities in life. If your response were more common back in the day, then the women of today wouldn’t even have to think about it, because women should treat any harassment anywhere with the same response.

My one area of disagreement, though, is about the ‘right’ of someone to work somewhere, or that they put up with harassment because they ‘need the job’ or whatever. If someone is harassing you, and you stop them, that person is still there, and you (or anyone) has to decide if that simple reality is acceptable.

I’ve left many jobs because of the conditions of the place, not having to do with harassment or such. That’s life—if you don’t like working someplace, leave. We should be taught that kind of self-respect.

Maybe so but I think is Jack the ripper gets the nomination Karl Rove will decide he’s a nice enough guy and back him.

I think one of the most instructive lessons in politics is the marriage of Mary Matlin and James Carville ....I think they do believe in their respective points of view but only so far.....so such a marriage is possible .

Karl Rove will certainly stand against a wind to a pont. ....then if the wind blows hard enough off he will go in that direction ....in short If Caine survives and prospers Rove will fully back him.

Good evening antceecee! :-)

Rove is despicable. He has become Romney's biggest cheerleader. I can't watch or listen to him.

Beltway Spin -- and win at all costs, even if you unfairly crush your opponents by breaking the Lord's Commandment regarding bearing false witness. Yep, that's the KR I know alright. Real hard ball kinda' guy.

I doubt they will have any feature profile on him in the near future on the mini radio show, "Character Counts".

I think that in early 1970’s office politics were such that women in the office were “tested” by the dominant males and if they succumbed to sleeping with the boss to get ahead that was accepted, if they slugged the guy... they might be fired, but then again in my case it put the horndogs on notice and they pretty much went away to pursue easier prey. I do have to say that in that same office there was a woman in her late 30’s who was quite the cougar. In the case of some of the junior salesmen... I think she scared the heck out of some of them. So office behavior by both sexes could be inappropriate, especially when measured by today’s PC standards.

Good point, things were indeed different in that time. When I was just entering the workforce, in the eighties, there was a massive backlash going the other way—”lookism” was even discussed.

It comes down to what may be an unresolvable debate about free speech/expression, and government/law getting in between people’s social interaction. Do we want ‘speech codes’ to tell us how we should interact, or do we trust parents (who often fall down on this job—I work with kids from troubled homes) to teach kids appropriate behavior in ANY situation outside the home?

Rove is a liar. Three times I saw him say Cain's polling average had fallen and all three times he cited Real Clear Politics as his source. Prior to his comments I had been posting RCP averages for weeks and not only did Cain not drop he continued to rise.

FNC is 100% behind Mitt Romney. It's so obvious, they are no longer worth watching.

I'm not so sure. Does the name Christine O'Donnell ring any bells.

Rove spoke ou against her before the primary. He railed against her after she won the primary.

O'Donnell may not have been the greatest candidate, but Rove sure as hell didn't close ranks behind her. Indeed, he may have been instrumental in her defeat in the general.

Last week Rove said, in no uncertain terms, “Cain is finished” but Cain has been winning most of the polls, and raising $1 million a week...

You have to wonder; why would he destroy whatever credibility he had left? It isn’t like he can prove himself right. Cain is still rising in the polls and he proves Rove a liar every day he does.

I have a deep dislike and resentment of Karl Rove going back to the immigration/amnesty issues when the Bush admin.. through their spokeshole Karl Rove pretty much told all of us to piss up a rope.

Yes, and the attacks at this point are desparate too

Politico was bad enough, but at least had some temperate points, PJ article is like the National Enquirer. It’s unbelieveable.

I posted this on another thread. I think this whole thing is going to come crashing down on Rove, Politico, PJM (I hate they got involved, what were THEY thinking) as well as the original source. The NRA board, director, his coworkers, employees, even HR person never heard of any of this.

I think they went “fishing” — hoping that a “real” case would come forward. They weren’t banking that Cain really is a man of character.

Yes, Rove was behind the Bush amnesty. That is where Bush lost me. Bush, Rove, Perry...why do Texans want amnesty for ILLEGAL aliens?

Government has no place in human interaction in regard to speech. Barring true harassment... and I have seen and been subject to that, from men AND WOMEN... government has no place in trying to rigidly dictate human interaction and behavior. Wherever you go in this world you will have people who overstep their bounds and others who are drama-queens (and kings) who seek attention. Look to the family and it is the same among siblings.
