How Did Occupy D.C. Protesters Respond to a Table Full of Job Applications?
The Blaze ^ | 11-4-11 | chris santarelli

The news media watchdog Accuracy in Media (AIM) released a video Wednesday that may denounce the notions from some that the Occupy protesters are primarily concerned with jobs.

In it, “head hunters” set up a table full of job applications near the protest and start offering them to protesters. But the reception they get, according to the video, is less than warm. To many, that might seem odd considering the protesters have camped out in our nations capital for over a month following the Occupy Wall Street protest that began on September 17, partly because of no jobs. Accuracy in Media put it this way in a written statement:

He concluded that it’s hard to take seriously that the protesters they spoke with were demonstrating against a lack of employment opportunities, given that only two protesters requested job applications from AIM “head hunters” that were at the Occupy DC camp for hours this past Friday.

According to him, the only applications that the protesters took were from Disney and Solyndra.

They don’t want a job - just a paycheck.

This is a prime case of using Facebook views to discern the viability of hiring these people.

I know If i had to chose on having this type of a person on my payroll what I would say.

Offering a job to people who claim there are no jobs makes you a hater.

Evidently they don’t need a job with all the free food and love going around. Winters coming its going to be hard to hang out in the park in 30 degree weather. They might have to move with the homeless to the south for awhile.

These fleabaggers are just like the guys that have the signs “Will work for Food” or “Homeless: Need Job”. If you stop and ask them if they would like a job cutting wood, washing windows, picking up trash, etc. they look at you and say “Couldn’t you just give me $5?”

Yeah yeah yeah...

Years ago, my maid, a very fine and deeply religious woman, told me how her church was giving financial aid to the unemployed and homeless.

I told her to tell them to call me. I had work for them--honest work for good, honest wages.

Only one called. After a few minutes conversation, he said he wasn't interested.

Instead of throwing money down that rat hole, I set up a scholarship for indigent people to attend college. There were no strings attached, but I did hope to give preference to those seeking marketable skills, and, though there were not restrictions whatsoever, I had in mind people, perhaps adult men and women, who maybe had families and wanted to attend college at night or part time or whenever they could in order to make their way in life better.

There were many takers! I received notes from many thanking me for helping to make it possible for them to attend college.

They don’t want a job. They want a position...something with an expense account, leisurely lunches, and preferably with a corner-windowed office. After all, they’re college graduates, doncha know...

Someone should pass around a petition from a fake lawfirm soliciting signatures in support of a class action lawsuit suing Wall Street Jewish bankers for all of their assets to be redistributed to the signatories of the suit.

I'll bet it would get a lot of signatures and make a lot of Dems very uncomfortable.

"According to him, the only applications that the protesters took were from Disney and Solyndra."

One commenter at the Blaze nailed it:

“According to him, the only applications that the protesters took were from Disney and Solyndra”….what a coincidence…both companies deal in fantasies.
