Contempt, sounds like at least a misdemeanor.

What are Republicans going to do about it? Nothing. Obama and the Dems know they can do whatever they want to do.

I don’t know about federal law, but in my state if a subpoena is ignored an `Order to Show Cause’—an opportunity/hearing for him to show why he should not be held in contempt—would issue and, if he failed to appear for that, a body attachment would issue.
But keep in mind that the conventional wisdom inside the Beltway is that the law (federal law, the Constitution, of the 57 states) only applies to mortals, and not the miserable failure known as The Won.

"I can only conclude that your decision to issue a subpoena, authorized by a party-line vote, was driven more by partisan politics than a legitimate effort to conduct a responsible investigation," Obama's counsel, Kathryn Ruemmler, wrote in a letter to the top Republicans on the House Energy and Commerce committee.

Conclude whatever you want, sweetheart, but unless there is a case to be made (and there doesn't appear to be) for Executive Privilege, my understanding is that the President has no right to withhold the subpoenaed documents.

Congress has subpoena power, plain and simple, and the President can ultimately be compelled to produce the requested information.

Congress should immediately take President 0bama to the Supreme Court for a Constitutional bitch slap, if necessary.

As someone else noted, this is getting good.

I really don't know who this clown in the White House thinks he is, but he is about to find out that his powers are indeed still limited by the Constitution.

If he doesn't wake up, they should impeach his Tyrannical ass...

Using this logic, any time Pelosi or Reid can get the entire party to vote for or against anything, it is a party line vote and the pres should do what he wants. Obama has made multiple comments about going around congress. His administration reflects station thinking and a disdain for the constitution.

If this were a movie, we'd be getting to the part where Jon Voight and Tom Selleck march into the White House and announce they are taking over. Yes, he draws out talk of impeachment. But, we all know that is virtually impossible because if pigmentation.

The executive order damage he might do in the process of being removed would be huge. He is already writing them at a rapid pace. I am waiting for the candidate who will pledge to reverse some of the orders he's written. That person will get my steadfast support.

Speaker Boehner isn't marching anywhere anytime soon.

On second thought, arrest the Solyndra execs and let them testify against the WH folks. I guess DOJ would have to do that. Never mind.
