Rep. Ellison introduces voting bills in Congress

Rep. Keith Ellison, D-Minn., introduced a bill in Congress Wednesday that would prohibit all states from requiring photo identification at the polls.

“The Voter Access Protection Act” comes at a time when states across the nation, including Minnesota, have moved to establish photo ID laws as a protection against voter fraud. Legislatures in 20 states introduced such a bill in 2011, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures.

“This legislation would prohibit one of the most pernicious forms of voter suppression, requiring a strict photo identification card at the polls,” said the bill’s co-author, Rep. Gwen Moore, D-Wis., in a press release.

Remember. Ellison is a Muzzie. It’s easy to understand why he wouldn’t want voter I.D.s being used to vote.

The Constitution is only as strong as it’s defenders.

He’s also the one who was worried that Guam would capsize from the extra weight of a US military base. Unbelievable.

“modern day poll tax,”

No, that would be if we made you pay to vote with a check and produce an ID to verify your check.

Watch a leftie’s head explode: ask them if they believe kids should be “forced” to show valid photo ID before purchasing cigarettes. Or does that “disenfrachise” them?

You need ID to fly to Chicago, cash your SOSH security check or buy a can of spray paint if you look too young. so...what’s the big deal? The only people opposed to a photo ID to vote are groups who would profit from the ease of ineligible voters(IE illegal aliens, felons, ect) being able to vote.

The Republicans are worried about not getting voter ID and the Democrats are worried about getting voter ID, but neither Party worries about the hackable, not audit-able and potentially controllable voting machines that make your individual vote worthless.

That should really worry all Americans. Are both Parties looking for a grand deal (as in I’ll give your 4 years, if you give me 4) that leaves out the vote of citizens. They want the system nailed down to only two parties.
