TRIPOLI, Nov. 5 (Xinhua) -- Hundreds of Libyan fighters protested outside a hotel in the capital Tripoli on Saturday evening, asking for salary from the ruling National Transitional Council (NTC).
The NTC fighters who haven't been paid since they took up arms in March gathered in front of Radison Blu hotel where NTC oil and finance chief Ali Tarhouni has his office. Sporadic gunfire was heard during their demonstration.
"We need money to buy food for our family ahead of the Muslim Eid al-Adha holiday as food prices increased sharply compared with the same period last year," said Ahmed Hamaza, an NTC fighter.
Look for Libya to start looking like Somalia. The media will black-out the whole story, since there will be no denying that Obama would own the situation.

So let me get this straight: if I & a few buddies & cousins get P.O.d at the government, and voluntarily take up arms, start a revolution, and NATO bombs anyone shooting back at us so that we end up winning, the new government that never hired us owes us back wages?

Here are further details on the militias that won’t go home now that the party is over. At least they sound more like young hoodlums, not militant Islamists. I suppose we can be thankful for that.
