So what manner of a man is this Jerry Sandusky?

I read the PA law currently on the books and it reads like the old MA law on child abuse. It is now a crime for anyone that witnesses child abuse and not report it to the police in Massachusetts. We call it the Cardinal Law.
I agree with you Ken, though I wouldn’t be surprised if Curley rises from the ashes. He’s going the “leave of absence” route.
He’s trying to sneak out of Happy Valley. By my reading of the grand jury stuff, they both committed perjury. There won’t be a trial..both will take pleas, and do some jail time..
Does anyone know if PSU ever notified the parents of the child McQueary saw being assaulted in the shower by Sandusky?
No..they never even bothered to find out the kid’s identity...
The state AG just said at the presser that PSU made no attempt to ID the child.
I wonder if that means no hush money has ever changed hands. Hope someone asks about that angle, if there is any evidence PSU paid any parents off. And I hope someone asks about any tie to the Gricar case.
I never heard of Paterno or Sandusky until this weekend. But I suspect you’re right on the outcome.
In fact, today Sandusky was quoted as saying he wished he was dead.

I think everything now comes out...rats deserting the sinking ship..The PSU president will be dumped shortly..he’s an idiot..the two guys have already left...and they will do jail time for perjury, and Paterno leaves after the BSA bowl..a new broom, a new regime is coming in..and when you do that..you get all the old crap out...you don’t want it coming back on you later..it’s gonna get very ugly...

You could be correct. But in this case, I think not. I think the team comes together...and wins out...remember, for the next 50 years, when they come back to PSU..this scandal will define how the team in remembered, so they have a chance to shape, define their legacy..an alternative message..they are good enough to pull it off. I hope they do.

He agreed to testify against the AD and VP. This is going to be interesting. The President has vowed to defend the AD and the VP. The PSU board of directors better get JP and Spanier off the staff before this becomes bloody.

Sooner or later, some money is going to bring the boys and their stories out.
The Board of Trustees really has only one sensible option. At least put Spanier and Paterno on administrative leave. (Curley has requested administrative leave and Shultz (retired) has been removed).
Pennsylvania Attorney General Linda Kelly specifically asked that a child, reportedly assaulted by Sandusky in view of a graduate student, contact detectives about the alleged 2002 incident.
