Cain Gets Major Applause At Debate After Dismissing Harassment Claim
Real Clear Politics ^ | 11/9/11

CAIN: Yes. BARTIROMO: You know that shareholders are reluctant to hire a CEO where there are character issues. Why should the American people hire a president if they feel there are character issues?

CAIN: The American people deserve better than someone being tried in the court of public opinion based on unfounded accusations. That's...

(APPLAUSE)

And I value my character and my integrity more than anything else. And for every -- one person that comes forward with a false accusation, there are probably -- there are thousands who would say none of that sort of activity ever came from Herman Cain.

You're right. This country's looking for leadership. And this is why a lot of people, despite what has happened over the last nine days, are still very enthusiastic behind my candidacy. Over the last nine days...

(APPLAUSE)

Over the last nine days, the voters have voted with their dollars, and they are saying they don't care about the character assassination. They care about leadership and getting this economy growing and all of the other problems we face.

(APPLAUSE)

I’m liking what I’m reading about Cain’s attorney Lin Wood. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution quote describes Wood as the “Pit bull you want chained outside guarding your house.”

Wood has advised anyone else thinking about making an allegation about Cain to “think twice.”

You’re not up against a limp-wristed RINO, Gloria Allred. So, PLEASE play with fire and give it your BEST shot. When all’s said and done, your and your lying clients’ a**es will be cooked as red as the suits you so famously wear.

Yeah, It is saying that vote for the Liberal GOP Establishments above any principal voter. Congrats for exposing yourself. You are not worried about fact and issue, you are worried about keeping the political machine as is intact Sorry we are WAY past the point where we can treat 2012 as just another politics as usual election.

He may have flirted with women, but I strongly doubt he reached over and tried to grab someone’s genitals. That is just my opinion. Who do i believe that blonde bimbo or Herman Cain. Easy decision in my book

I dissagree, I think the ones (like me) that abandoned Perry before now and propelled Cain’s surge are completely different than those who are left.

The ones that are left will be the ones that value a record, insider connections, and fundraising ability above all else (the practical things) and I also think after having been burned with Perry, they will be wanting someone more competent for their next pick.

So... my prediction is... most of Perry’s remaining support goes to Gingrich.

“He has demonstrated an alarming lack of knowledge of really basic stuff.”

You are demonstrating an alarming lack of knowledge on how little you know about this man. He had a talk radio show in Alanta 2 hours a night, 5 days a week, covering every topic in the book. He argued with liberals night after night on the issues.

He has written books and commentary going back to 2005 -

http://www.thinkersvoice.com/content/cainscommentary
http://economicfreedomcoalition.com/press-opinion.asp

No one can read this and come back here and tell me he doesn’t know anything.

If you would do your own research rather than listen to the 30 second sound bytes, you might know that.

To: When do we get liberated?

There’s no evidence anything ever happened with these women. So tired of numb-brains following and believing what the LSM says. None of us were in that car/restaurant/apartment, where ever these incidents supposedly took place. Too convenient that all of these accusations are coming about now. Hey wait, didn’t these women receive $$ in a settlement. Doesn’t that mean the situation has been settled? $45,000 is a bit meager if it’s a substantial case.
I’M ON THE CAIN TRAIN and I’m NOT jumping off!

GOP voters respond to issues, not personal attacks.

See post #96.

The left was using Alinski tactics again. They weren't trying to upset the public. They were trying to "nudge" us. They thought WE would respond with outrage. The black voting block, who may have been thinking about supporting Cain, would see our outrage and see how racists wee really were.
WE would be attacking the black guy, because he "dared to touch a white woman!".

The left wouldn't have to do anything but watch us be "racists." They were trying to manipulate US.

They failed.

The fact that Bialek can supposedly recite word-for-word her conversations from 14 years ago AND supposedly asked Cain to drive her home after beind sexually assaulted are proof she’s a lying sac of crap.

Who can recite word-for-word a convo they had 14-15 years ago? Seriously? And the supposed conversation sounds like a cheap porno.

“Mr Cain, you know I have a boyfriend! That’s not why I came here!” Oh yeah, that’s exactly the kind of reaction I’d expect when someone tries to force themself on you. And to ask for a ride home from that same person? Come on. Really? Who are you trying to fool.

It’s like Gloria Allred got some cheap interracial pornography writer to write her script.

Herman has been through the wringer fighting these bogus sexual harassment charges. That’s why I think he fell back on 9-9-9 more than a few times: he was simply worn out. I’d much rather see him go over the same points than have a Rick Perry moment!

He didn't 'fall back onto 999'. The debate was primarily about the ECONOMY and JOBS and his 999 affects both so he pointed that out.

Here is something that should be broadcast:

People keep talking “two (and more)” complaints at the NRA against Cain. I can find only 1, not 2, just 1. The claims of “two” appears to be false.

Someone can sure correct me if I’m wrong, but if I’m not, then correct others because “two” is the mindset right now hurts the positive psyche for Cain - 2 is much different than only 1 non-sexual gesture that an overly-sensitive woman says made her feel “uncomfortable”.

See the belows snip from last Saturday’s CBS article:

[snip] “Cain left the association June 30, 1999, according to the NRA. Under that timeline, Cain would have been gone when the settlement was reached—and may well have been gone when she filed the complaint.

Cain has insisted he only knew of one complaint, and says he knew of no legal settlements—only what he calls a severance agreement with one woman. This timeline could well bolster his claims.

When Cain ran to represent Georgia in the Senate four years later, he told his advisers there was one complaint against him at the Restaurant Association, and that it was “baseless.” One former staffer on the Senate campaign told CBS News that he and other advisers in the campaign knew about that complaint and believed it was meritless, but thought it could crop up in possible opposition research.”

I wouldn’t call it “concern” so much as “ignorance/curiosity”.

I don’t follow any of candidates very closely except Cain (and him only as of late). I was just curious if there were serious anti-Cain murmurs through the Perry camp.

Considering how truly loathsome Pelosi is, I wonder who booed? It might have been some Paulbots or Romneybots.

Whoever it was, I just don't want Cain to leave that opportunity open again. A few more boos and minus gaffes by others that clip could get played by the media with the retort that his appeal is fading. We would know otherwise but people just starting to follow might get taken in. I just think he needs to be cautious of that. I don't want him to fall into the same boat Bachmann has with her 666 comment. A little joke like that can backfire. He doesn't need that, he has enough facts to make his points. jmo

They’ll keep going to the well as long as they get water out of it. I personally think they’ve gone there one too many times. One salient point, the tactic works when it’s true, but it’s a double edged sword - truth is also a perfect defense. At any rate, it’s not the charges, they’re bound to come. It’s what the candidate does with them. Allen allowed “macaca” to run him out of the race because he tried to tap-dance it. Palin allowed the leninists to win by resigning. You can’t let the bastards feel that they’ve won, whether you think they did or not, because then like any blackmailer they come back for more and more and more. MY president needs to be un-blackmailable.

That is an excellent analysis of the left’s intentions. To Quote Proverbs (And Bob Marley, LOL):

Shall fall into it”.
