Cain Gets Major Applause At Debate After Dismissing Harassment Claim
Real Clear Politics ^ | 11/9/11

CAIN: Yes. BARTIROMO: You know that shareholders are reluctant to hire a CEO where there are character issues. Why should the American people hire a president if they feel there are character issues?

CAIN: The American people deserve better than someone being tried in the court of public opinion based on unfounded accusations. That's...

(APPLAUSE)

And I value my character and my integrity more than anything else. And for every -- one person that comes forward with a false accusation, there are probably -- there are thousands who would say none of that sort of activity ever came from Herman Cain.

You're right. This country's looking for leadership. And this is why a lot of people, despite what has happened over the last nine days, are still very enthusiastic behind my candidacy. Over the last nine days...

(APPLAUSE)

Over the last nine days, the voters have voted with their dollars, and they are saying they don't care about the character assassination. They care about leadership and getting this economy growing and all of the other problems we face.

(APPLAUSE)

To: When do we get liberated?

That may be. But you stated in such a way as to give the impressiion you accepted that Cain actually did the alleged behavior. Words are important!

My take on your comment:

1. You’re not very good at expressing yourself.

Or:

2. You’re a troll. Old smear trick is to continue repeating the charge as though it were ture while offering up some form of faint praise.

Oh my such concern. Perry is complicit in the attempted lynching of Mr. Cain. The polster Wilson is the dot that connects to Rove that connects to Texas GOP that connects to Texas GOP Gov. Perry. Sorry, these connections are not mere coincidences.

So, you think these so-called conservative Perry voters in Texas and elsewhere will vote for who rather than Cain?

I think he had a great debate. The only flaw he had was when he called Nancy Pelosi a princess. He got a couple of boos for that. Until then he had refrained from ‘name calling’ and I hope he learns from that and doesn’t do it again.

I really think he and Newt are doing so well, because they have stayed above the fray and avoided such unnecessary comments. I liked it, but he already has my vote. If he hopes to get the undecideds and independents he needs to be above that type of pettiness. jmo

Fortunately, more has been made of Perry’s gaffe so hopefully people will forget about ‘princess Nancy’.

Other than that I think Cain was stellar. :)

Cain would not win 150 electoral votes against Obama. He has demonstrated an alarming lack of knowledge of really basic stuff. The people he has surrounded himself with are beyond incompetent. Cain is almost as bad as Christine O’Donnell.

Doesn’t matter though. He won’t be the nominee.

"GO CAIN"

Isn't that what the attendees at that other Omaha "Up and Comer's" exclusive parties allegedly sucked up their nose?

The crew of the Cain Train might want to be prepared for the $38 million dollar question the commies are preparing to blind side the anointed one with down the tracks...

The numbers and timing ARE an interresting coinkidink.   But it should be easily refutable by simply showing where the money for the Godfathers buyout came from.

” Frankly I don’t care and I bet alot of people don’t either. Run a microscope over my life and I would never run for office. Cain’s past is littered with examples that show when a business unit is hemmoraging cash, running out of credit and becoming burdensome, you put Cain in charge and he turns it around.”

All I need to know. We need a great business mind to get us out of this nearly hopeless debt !

Any suggestions what articles to tweet and what hashtags to use on twitter to counter these ‘respectable’ ladies stories?

Any freepers who aren’t yet on twitter and facebook need to get on board. Social media is in the forefront. We have to use them for positive just as the left uses them for negative.

As a white woman who strongly supports Herman Cain, because he would be great for our country, when I saw the blonde accuser, my only thoughts were that she was trash, (and that she has overdone the plastic surgery.) She reminded me of the many wannabe “real housewives” who live for tv camera time - like the one who crashed an Obama State Dinner.

What the so-called commentators are projecting onto conservative perspectives is Very revealing of their own ugly, nauseating racial prejudice.

Feel better now?

Oh, I see you didn’t tell us whom you are backing. Care to clue us in on that?

These same people attacking Cain for not being ready or able also assured us that Rick Perry was a real, credible candidate... lol

*** Run a microscope over my life and I would never run for office. ***

Ditto for almost everyone.

Back before the Clinton era I had a good acquaintance who was very much into Suburban GOP politics in the Chicago area. He was a very successful businessman whose hobby was collecting Vintage Cars. One day I asked him why he never ran for a Local Office. Even for his Village.

He looked at me and said in effect. "Are you crazy? All they (the RATS) have to do is get a hold of my American Express Card records. In no time they'll have me painted as a no good Alcoholic unfit to hold any office."

And when I thought about it, he was right. As he left his Co's office at noon for 'lunch'. Then would come - out of his way - to another Restaurant and lounge NW of O'Hare airport were I hung my suit-coat, have a couple cocktails, then head back 'home' to the Western burbs.

But the thing is, he had old business friends in the NW burbs and that was why he came 'up' that way. It wasn't just to drink. But on paper it wouldn't look good.

Politics became a Blood Sport thanks to the rats..

the fact the cain said that he didnt meet her in d.c. for dinner, it is troubling because records can easily be digged out, e.g. credit card transactions etc.

Where are those records?

Have you seen any?

Let me tell you this:

A person suddenly claiming harassment after 14 years of silence, and having no proof whatsoever, would be laughed out of every lawyers office in the county, except Gloria Alred's.
