By now it is abundantly clear that Newt Gingrich is the best debater among the Republican Presidential Candidates. Some of Newt’s critics will grudgingly acquiesce to this fact, but still brush the legitimacy of the Gingrich candidacy aside, noting that he is an unserious candidate. Since the Constitution does not spell out what "qualifications" are for POTUS only "Eligibility", for this purpose both are one and the same.
"Qualified" becomes subjective and IMO Cain is qualified.

Everytime the Perry supporters or Newt supporters post anything on this forum they are attacked by the Cainiacs. I bet the Perry and Newt folks would endorse either candidate if it comes to that...but will the Cain voters stay home? they hit and spin and attack. I wish instead of sniping at Cain, you would answer questions about Newt. He was my Congressman, and I'm very concerned about his bad habit of talking a good game and then backing down. What say you?
And as for Cain being a democrat in the past . . . he and just about everybody in the South who is his age or older. It took me til Reagan, but seeing how much harder it is for a black person to make the change, that doesn't concern me.
His lack of foreign policy experience does, but it doesn't matter how knowledgeable someone is if he has no principles. Cain has principles, and he can learn about foreign policy. You can't learn principles or courage, and Newt has neither.

You agree with Cain that there should be MORE tenant control of HUD housing? excuse me but taxpayers have spent a ton of money on housing redevelopment, attractive projects and even independent hud homes. The tenants are the ones that have destroyed them. Hand up? yes, but take a little pride where you live and quit blaming a “lack of incentive” IMO IF you live in government housing..screening should be intense and if you destroy it..you should be kicked out ASAP and be held responsible for damages. AS for Rainbow Push Coalition they are a treacherous organization..period.

The MOST important duty of our president is to serve as Commander in Chief. I do not want a man in charge of our foreign policy in a learn as you go leader. Times are way too dangerous. AS for Newt’s baggage..it is in the past..happened years ago and his daughter wrote a letter that you may google online. It is what he does now that matters EVERYONE has skeletons and I am thankful to what Newt did when he served as speaker of the house. America had the first balanced budget ammendment since 1969. The govt did shut down but Newt remained firm. He was also responsible for the gop revolution. On the other hand...I dont like Cain’s 999 or his 909 plan. I didn’t like his response in one of the debates that it is politician who could raise the taxes or change the plan...well, that is what worries me. I do not trust the feds to keep it at 999 and I dont like to pay an additional 9% sales tax on everything I buy ...gasoline, groceries, clothes, etc We live on a fixed income and in a county where our sales taxes are already high...this would be awful. As for the south I know there were the old dixiecrats and many of them were racists...I never understood why the blacks voted democrat...example..Watkins Abbott of VA fought against school integration in Prince Edward Co...but guess who the blacks voted for when he ran against the republicans? the same man that was an oppressor!! it was Eisenhower that ordered the national guard to escort black students into the schools in Little Rock and it is all brainwashing by black liberal leaders such as Jesse Jackson and Sharpton that keep blacks voting black. I do NOT WANT A democrat first lady in the white house again....we have been there done that with hillary and michelle...I do not feel comfortable with Cain joining the gop and still donating money to dem candidates for “personal and business” reasons. I have watched the debates and all the candidates and I also prefer Newts tax plan. I am sticking with Newt. BTW I grew up in the south and know what it was like..those days are over now and I give credit to republicans more than democrats
Is that all you’ve got? His wife is a democrat and she “probably” is in lockstep with Pelosi. Since when is probably a fact? I’m not voting for his wife and his wife has not been directly involved in his campaign so far. We’ve had more than enough crap from career politicians in both parties. Would I vote for Newt if he were the nominee? Absolutely, but I don’t think he could win. The accusations against Cain come when he is rising in the polls and considered to be a threat. Newt is moving up as well but I doubt that he will receive the same treatment for his documented and admitted indiscretions because both the other RINOs in the race as well as the democrats don’t see him as a threat. He is already bought and paid for. Cain is the true conservative candidate.
Cain is not the true conservative in my book. You don’t think first ladies play a role? look at Hillary, Michelle..and yes, guarantee you Gloria is a big supporter of both. Cain gave money to dems while he was a republican and you call him conservative?
The Cain supporters have fits when anyone post anything on their candidate. I support Newt and he would tear Obama to shreds in a debate and win
