Jackie Battley was Gingrich’s geometry teacher in high school. They secretly dated until they got married on June 19, 1962.

...In 1980, the couple separated after Gingrich began an affair with Marianne Ginther.

Ginther met Gingrich at a political fundraiser in 1981. Ginther is the daughter of a former Ohio mayor. They married six months after Gingrich divorced his first wife, Jackie Battley.

...Gingrich began an affair with House of Representatives staffer Callista Bisek in the mid-1990s.

...Newt began an affair with Callista while she worked as an aide for the House of Representatives. They continued their affair during the Monica Lewinsky scandal. Newt headed the investigation into charges that President Bill Clinton committed perjury throughout the Lewinsky affair. Newt and Callista married in 2000.

> I’m sorry you are so lost to this irrational perspective of Newt.

Please don’t insult my argument by essentially branding it as emotional. My view on Newt is based on what he has done and advocated for over his career, and it shows a pattern of a big government RINO.

Everything you mentioned is all Newt’s talk. He talks pretty, has good ideas, but at his core his fundamentals are NOT conservative, and if he is the one making the command decision (and not just advising) you best watch out.

Read this and please think about it.

I was thinking the same thing about some of those trying to create a circular firing squads. I think some of them may be either Romney or Obama supporters. They spend all of their time attacking GOP candidates, yet they spend no time supporting the candidate they claim to favor.

Fundamentally flawed reasoning. Imho

You suck at setting up strawmen.

Already read it and posted on the FR thread discussing it. I refer to your closed-minded stuck in the past and easily herded approach to trying character assassination as a means ot support your chosen candidate as 'irrational' Would you rather I name it for what it is? I was trying to be be polite to you and even asking that you update your data stream. It was obviously a waste of time.

Have nice day

Divorce is one thing. I'm not a huge fan of it being Catholic, but many reasons can play into it and sometimes it is needed. Adultery is much worse and deals with trust. If you play the field, don't get married.

I also realize that I'm not voting for preacher. However, I need to be able to trust that a politician will at least make a good faith attempt do what he says he's going to do.

I haven't decided who I'm backing. At this point, anyone but Obama and Romney (again, due to trust).

Folks here get really ugly over primaries...folks should look at 1999-2000

Bachmann, Perry and even Cain got smacked around by some Palin over the top types.

Now most of them have gone to Cain so one can expect Newt is now in their sights and they are unhappy.

My two gals didn’t make the finals..

hence Newt is my pick of last three standing...it’s just how it is

for Cain folks...they can hope for the best..it’s still Romney’s to lose

but Mitt’s folks have to know should Cain or Newt drop out then Mitt’s road gets a lot harder

Cain just lost 46% of his women’s vote and big chunk of self identified tea party folks..likely women

it’s obvious where they went

Reagan passed Amnesty for illegal aliens.

Reagan endorsed anti gun legislation.

Reagan was fooled by Tip O’niel & raised taxes.

And there’s much more.........

In my opinion, Reagan was one of the greatest presidents ever.

Do you think people can change? Can circumstances change? I think if Reagan were alive today, his views & actions on these “faux pas” of his would be vastly different than what they were then.

You say Newt has no problem w/ big government. Ever read the Contract w/ America? Read his latest Contract w/ America?

You seem to know a lot about Newt. You must be pretty close to him to know his mind. Care to share? You don’t just rely on skewed news reports do you?

I get it. Newt’s your guy, so bringing up evidence of his pattern of being a big government RINO is “character assassination”. Good luck with that... facts are still facts. Newt’s got a track record.

Newt would be great in the Cabinet. I want his “data stream” to advise the leader. I just don’t want him to lead, because he’s demonstrated time and again he will team up with liberals and bloat government up. He’s much better at playing the McCain trick of skewing right in theory and in the primaries, then falling back to liberal-land once he gets some power.

I still have high hopes for Cain, or Bachmann. They have what we need in a president... core values. Conservative values. Newt doesn’t have them. We’ll probably continue to disagree about that.

“Oh great! Newt marries the girls he has affairs with. How honorable. What about the wives he cheated on and then divorced. He ruined their lives and didn’t look back .”

Give me a break... How many times have you been married?

...Before you ask; me, only once, 43 years and counting. However 2 of my siblings have been married 3 times. Does that count against me?

Reagan had to deal with a Dimocrap dominated Congress. It’s amazing he accomplished what he did to bring this country (and the world) into the light. Reagan’s core sense that government was the problem and not the solution was the rock-ribbed core of everything he did, even if he had to settle for second best sometimes.

Contrast this with Newt, who as recent as a few months ago agreed with the odious big-government, unconstitutional Obamneycare edict to force everyone to buy health insurance. Does that sound like someone with small government principles to you?

And another thing... When a marriage breaks up, it’s NEVER just one person who’s at fault.

First off, Reagan didn’t have a veto proof Congress. He could have vetoed any of those areas mentioned. Also, HE pushed gun control once he was OUT of office. Reagan was still one of the all time greats.

Newt agreed just a few months ago w/ Obamacare huh? I’d be interested in the links for that. I’m sure the press would be having a field day w/ that one being he has said he would repeal it in short order. You’re grasping girl.

Newt is a womanizer. Apparently so is Cain.

Apparently? Are you joining the two bit whores who are making baseless accusations against Cain. Show me the proof that Cain is a "womanizer".

By the way, can I just say I’m shocked that anyone interested in the presidential future of this country hadn’t heard of (or doesn’t remember) Newt’s amazing endorsement of the most unconstitutional crap in Obamneycare? From MAY of this year? It was all over the conservative media, if you guys were paying any attention. It was a HUGE STORY.

People, we need to be ON TOP of these things if we want ANY hope of retaking this country!

I have been searching for some time for the writings allegedly made by Newt Gingrich on behalf of the Fannie Mae "business model." No one seems to be able to supply any such writing or any video. I was unaware that he called Fannie Mae a "model organization." I would be very grateful if you could forward me a citation.

Lot of hearsay Rip and when checked out not all of what the media reports is true.

We don’t like it when it done to us so one always have to do their indepth home work not just gossip.

My contention with Newt is that I been sucker punched too many times he says the words you want to hear but always needs to play footies with the opposition.

I too have only been married once and still going strong!

I also have divorce in my family. I can tell you that I know of not one divorce that hasn’t been ugly and it’s the children that come out with the most scars.
