On 'SNL,' Penn State scandal offends even Satan

NEW YORK (AP) — On "Saturday Night Live," even the devil was offended by the Penn State child sex abuse scandal.

"SNL" cast member Jason Sudeikis reprised his role as Satan, appearing with red horns and pitchfork. The devil was informed by "Weekend Update" host Seth Meyers of sex charges against a former defensive coordinator and allegations that university officials failed to report the abuse.

Even he was disturbed by the news. Addressing Penn State students who protested football coach Joe Paterno's firing, the devil spoke directly into the camera, asking, "Do you know how bad that made you look?"

Disgusted by the scandal, the devil says, "Evil isn't what it used to be."

I had the great pleasure of watching Rich Rod get his fanny handed to him last year. That was a fun night :)

If those who arrogantly proclaim their pride in Penn State took more time to relentlessly pursue justice against any implication of sexual immorality within their midst, their credibility would not be placed in as much doubt.

The Penn State Pride angle simply reminds me of the gay mindset. I have to admit though, it’s consistent with their image.

Penn State Pride,....hmmm??

Whatever. The media frenzy on Penn State, and the frenzy by those not Penn State, won’t deter or color my memories or my current view of Penn State. Ot those of other alumni and current students.

Call it arrogance or whatever you want to call it, but the actions of a few don’t define my Alma Mater. It doesn’t define Penn State. The media would like all to define it that way, the way they want to define us, but it won’t happen. 500.000 alumni and 97,000 current students won’t allow the media to define us.

You bring up penn state and gay mindset? Who has the problem here? lol.

Did you miss the part about a homosexual pedophile preying on kids and getting away with it for at least a decade?

Of course you did because you were too concerned with making some stupid, not funny comments about Penn State.

Call me arrogant. Call me whatever your little mind wants ;) I bleed blue and white. I am Penn State. Sandusky won’t change that. Pixels on a monitor won’t change that. The corrupt officials at Penn State and in the State of PA won’t change that. We are more than them.

If anonymous pixels on a computer monitor did more than get their jollies by trashing others, the world would be a better place. Or not. But keyboard commandoes are a joke.

We Are Penn State amd We ain’t going nowhere.

So what do you think about the homosexual agenda and how it’s infilitrated just about every aspect of our lives? What are you doing to fight it? How do you feel and what do you think about this newest media frenzy focused on Penn State (and not the real issue)?

The hoopla will die down. It always does. But the stain, the memory of thos kids being abused won’t. That no adult did enough, and some did something (lost in the media frenzy) but not enough.

My Dad, a WWII Vet died almost 2 years before 9/11. My Mom, now deceased, watched it and we thanked God my Dad wasn’t alive to see it. Years later, I thanked God my Dad wasn’t alive to see ND welcome Obama. Ome of my first thoughts, with this Sandusky Scandal, was that I was glad my Dad wasn’t alive. It wouldn’t be something he could understand. Not that any of us understand it, but it wouldn’t be something he could process.

I’d like to see the real problem addressed. I don’t think it will be.

It was a great night.

Too bad we didn’t have any night games this year.

If I’m not mistaken, Northwestern, which has one of the worst atmospheres in the Big Ten, had three compared to our zero.

Whoever decided on that (I think was the Big Ten) was moronic.

Some people at this site have taken great lengths to draw similarities between the Penn State and Catholic Church scandals.

Then you have sites like espn running garbage like this:

Now is not the time to be talking about the cultural issues that let these crimes occur.

What you want to do is let Paterno off the hook and blame it on those cultural factors.

Paterno was responsible for everything involving the football team, and he is responsible for not taking more action to deal with that crime.

Conservatives believe in PERSONAL responsibility, not blaming individual failures on the culture.

Your last statement shows how brainwashed you are.

Your Penn State is a DISGRACE.

So Penn State is full of pedophiles and those who attended and still attend are to blame?

Penn State is full of enablers, who allow pedophiles to prey on children and then yell, WE ARE PENN STATE.

Observing the body of students on their knee in prayer is a good start.

We are to pray without ceasing.

I agree.

I don’t see how anyone could possibly complain about the prayer, except for a moron like Pierce who wrote that espn article.

I’ve never heard of him before, but his bio at the end of the page told me all I needed to know. He’s an NPR guy who wrote a book titled “Idiot America.”

Seriously, does ESPN have one remotely conservative writer working for them? They have two types there:

1) The jock-sniffer who must proclaim “I AM A JOURNALIST” at every turn and thinks everything in sports is tied to JFK, Vietnam, Ali, and Nixon.

2) The angry black race baiter.

Espn is very liberal.

IIRC, Paul Azinger, a golf analyst, was reprimanded for tweeting something that made fun of how often BHO golfs.

Now is not the time to talk about the culture, the PC culture, that let these crimes occur? Now is exactly the time to address these issues.

Not letting Paterno off any hook, just not allowing him to be the scapegoat of the media and the Board of Trustees.

Fortunately, you don’t to determine what is Conservative.

My Penn State rocks. Not my problem if you have a problem with that.

Your anger would be better served if it were directed at the Board of Trustees and the former President, Spanier. Spanier’s the guy who for the last 15 years did everything in his power as President to change the direction of Penn State. He worked tiredlessly to take a solid Conservative University and turn it into one of the most liberal Universities. He had help from the Media and the current PC culture and from the uninformed general public. His ties to Obama are also interesting.

I attended Penn State in the 80’s during Reagan’s Presidency. The majority of the student body was solidly Conservative in its ideals. Spanier and the Board of Trustees took the University in the opposite direction.

I’m far from brainwashed. I don’t allow the Media to dictate my opinions nor do I allow the mob mentality to silence me.

WE ARE PENN STATE. I’m a proud LadyLion and nothing will change that, especially not some internet commando who allows the liberal Media to influence them. If this media firestorm has taught me anything, it’s taught me to be proud of my Alma Mater and not to allow a handful of people with the help of the media to define what Penn State is all about.

My Penn State is anything but a disgrace. The ‘Thon, the Tornado Relief for the Alabama game...just to name two. Those aren’t advertised and sensationalized by the Media because those are the good things.

You are entitled to your opinion. And I can think you don’t know a damn thing :)

ROTFLMAO! Penn State is full of enablers who allow pedophiles to prey on children, and then yell WE ARE PENN STATE?

So 500,000 alumni and 97,000 current students are all enablers who allow HOMOSEXUAL pedophiles to prey on children?

OK then. RME.

WE ARE PENN STATE! And as an Alum, I will do everything I can to not allow the media or anyone else to dictate what we are.

The only ones anyone has a problem with at Penn State are those who attempt to try to defend what was done there (or not done).

So stop acting like Penn State is the victim.

You seem incapable of shame, which seems to quite common among Penn State graduates.

That is arrogance, which is what put Penn State in the position it is in now.

I’m incapable of allowing people like you to even attempt to dictate what I should be ashamed or shamed about. Sucks doesn’t it? You have no power over me. The media has no power over me or any other alumni of Penn State.

You are the arrogant one. You don’t have the guts to look within yourself to see it. You are a coward. You want to make it all about Penn State rather than the man who committed the crimes and the other men who covered it up and the society we live in that dictated it. It’s easier to follow the media, to trash a man who did so much good (paterno) and possibly had a lapse in judgement one time. The media wants to take down what they built up and you’re one of the many cowards that allows it to happen.

You are the arrgoant one. You can KMA and shove your self righteous attitude. It means nothing. Just like the media means nothing in all of this.

Penn State won’t be defined by this no matter what you and others like you want. The media won’t win this one. The very active alumni won’t allow it.

I’m incapable of allowing people like you to shame me or make me ashamed for what another person did. It doesn’t define my alma mater. The media bias won’t define Penn State, its students or its alumni.

And there’s not a damn thing you can do to change that. Maybe you should look into what exactly put the University into this position. Oh wait, that’s too hard, lol.

And I’m sure your arrogance and cowardice won’t allow you to address the real issue.
