Witness: Cain Accuser Reported 'Inappropriate' Touching (Bialek's Ex-Boyfriend Speaks Publicly)
ABC News ^ | 11/14/2011 | RANDY KREIDER

A doctor who once dated Herman Cain accuser Sharon Bialek came forward today to say that he remembered Bialek telling him in 1997 that Cain had "touched her in an inappropriate manner," and that he was the one who urged her to contact lawyer Gloria Allred and go public with her accusation.

Dr. Victor Zuckerman of Shreveport, Louisiana, who appeared at a Monday afternoon press conference with attorney Gloria Allred, said he had decided to go public himself in order to rebut Herman Cain's public statement that he had no idea who Sharon Bialek was and couldn't recall ever meeting her. "I'm here to shed light on whether or not Herman Cain knows Sharon Bialek."

Four different women have accused the Republican presidential frontrunner of sexually harassing them while they worked at the National Restaurant Association. Karen Kraushaar and a second woman filed internal complaints with the trade group and received financial settlements. A third woman told the Associated Press she had considered filing a complaint against Cain but decided against because a coworker had already filed.

Cain has categorically denied all allegations of sexual harassment.

Bialek became the fourth accuser, and the first to go public, with a New York press conference on Nov. 7. She alleges Cain put his hand up her skirt, reached for her genitals and pulled her head toward his crotch. Bialek claims that when she resisted, he said, "You want a job, don't you?"

At the press conference, Gloria Allred flourished signed statements from two different men to whom Bialek had allegedly reported Cain's "inappropriate behavior" at the time. One of the men was described as a longtime friend and Chicago businessman, the other as a pediatrician Bialek was dating.

Have you ever been to a large convention? Do you know how many people you’d meet? Even from your own company that you rarely see? And having evidence they met does that mean her other charges true. And remember this is HIS word this happened. It’s HIS word that her job required her to be there all the time (guess what, it was the job of the waiters, greeters, etc. too). Do we have a job description to even know whether this was the case? Look, we’re talking about the reputation of another human being. This is very, very serious. This isn’t only about a presidential candidate. This is about a man who is a good Christian, who has spent a lifetime building a reputation and we’re supposed to believe people with less than stellar reputations (reputations they’ve EARNED according to those who know them) over Mr. Cain? I hope to God nothing like this ever happens to you or someone you love. And given how often the media has to walk back their accusations, I’m betting once they completely destroy this man, there will be the usual retractions in small print on page 12. Meanwhile, he can never get his reputation back. There will always be lingering doubt, there will always be that pubic hair on a coke can.

What scares me is that if Cain gets the nomination, every little press conference Gloria Allred or these other freaks host will get huge attention. The cousin of the hairdresser of the boyfriend of one of the women will have something to add to the situation and the media will rehash the whole crazy story.

That said, I’d rather have an honest conservative with even this MSM fanatical craziness than Mitt Romney.

Just exactly how is he supposed to put it to rest, in your opinion?

No, all he has to do is say "prove it" and ignore further questions.

Agreed. This story has a media half life. Cain just needs to keep on keeping on.

We are at war on a different battlefield here!

Obama and his Evil ilk against Christian Conservatives! If Evil can beat us on this turf, they will beat us in 2012! So the biggest battle is going on right now! Will Evil conquer Good?

It is up to us! Let us hope the American voter will win by electing the man who frightens Evil the most!

Vote for the man with the plan who can, the only man who can save the country from eternal rank Evil! Turn back to God! There are more of us than there are of them! And greater is He who is in us that he who is in the world!

Please name the 4 women...... #1 Sharon Bielek - don’t believe her..... #2 some other woman that works for the Obama administration who has sued other companies for various reasons and refuses to come forward, ummmm ummmm - yeah, who else?

At first it was 2 mystery women that Bennett stated had filed complaints. Then a 3rd woman called Bennett and her name was Sharon. She called several times, but he was never able to get her last name. Oh yeah, right because she decided she wanted Gloria Allred instead - maybe because she made it sound more tempting.

So, by my calculations there are only 2 that we know about. Where they come up with 4 people claiming sexual harassment is beyond me and negligent journalism.

people don’t care about this stuff.

Oh yes they do, and the polls show it. I don't believe in this ignore it and it will go away crap. It's obvious that Allred and her client have absolutely no fear of Cain or his "tough" attorney. They have been handled with kid gloves instead of attacked mercilessly like they should have been. Cains attorney and staff should have already had this Dr's past plastered everywhere they could. Instead, the story will just continue to fester as Cain sinks further in the polls. Cain's wife sure didn't help either with her timid defense of her husband. Why couldn't she have just looked in the camera and said, "I've known Herman Cain for more than 40 years and I'm here to tell you this story is a lie"?

I'm not happy with a choice between Newt or Romney. To me that only means 4 more years of Obama.

RE: I think Newt will handle things better. He’s been around it for a long time and has dealt with it in the past. We’ll see.

That simply didn't happen that way and his family has already put that to rest in what actually took place. He did not abondon her by any means. That is outdated news.

After these two, anyone else who might be a threat (except Romney) will get the smear treatment; because it works. Romney will stay clean until the general election if he is chosen. Then we will get endless articles about the evils of Mormonism and Mormons' bloody past, etc. This is modern politics in America.

As a matter of fact, I've read that Hollywood is planning on releasing a movie based on the book Under the Banner of Heaven (which is a damning indictment of fundamentalist Mormon cults) next summer, just in time for the elections.Just a coincidence, I'm sure/s

They might think they've put it to rest, but it would be naive to think the media agrees.

Oft-injured Zuckerman races as tribute to fallen friend
Chicago Sun-Times (IL) - Friday, August 26, 2005
Author: Bob Richards
Is there a doctor in the house?

Actually, Victor Zuckerman is a doctor, but when he gets ready for the Accenture Chicago Triathlon, he keeps other doctors busy. His list of injuries, surgeries and other assorted maladies over the years boggles the mind.

“It’s kind of a standing joke,” Zuckerman said this week as he counted down toward the 23rd Chicago Triathlon on Sunday. ‘I’ve got the X-rays and paperwork to prove it.”

His goal is to finish in one piece. But with Zuckerman , that’s not a sure thing.

“I’ve got a photo of me finishing in 2001, and I think I finished two or three other times,” the 53-year-old pediatrician said. “Every year, something happens.”

It’s only a finger dislocation this time, suffered while playing basketball with his son two weeks ago. Last year, he fell off his mountain bike and broke a leg. The year before, he had his appendix removed. Sinus surgery, pneumonia, a severe asthma attack, two hernia operations, a concussion, a broken wrist, plantar fasciitis and assorted muscle pulls have sideswiped his swim-bike-run aspirations dating to the 1980s. One year, he finished but fell and cracked his front teeth.

“I looked like a character from Deliverance’ when I crossed the finish line, but I did complete the race,” he said.

This year, even with the dislocated finger, he has a higher motivation. He is competing to honor Thomas Williams, a good friend and surgeon who died from thyroid cancer. The death of Williams, whose wife, Rhonda, is a fellow pediatrician at Stratford Pediatrics in Bloomingdale, made Zuckerman rethink his life.

“I looked at these aches and pains I’ve gone through and realized this is nothing compared to what Tom went through and what is really going on,” he said. As I watched his deterioration, all my triathlon mishaps paled in the face of the reality that [Williams] would no longer be with us. I am dedicated to re-inventing my life, and the triathlon is a huge part of it.”

Zuckerman and his staff at Stratford Pediatrics will be wearing “Meet You at the Finish Line” T-shirts in Williams’ honor.

With his new determination, Zuckerman , who signs up for this event every January, will be doing his best to take care of unfinished business in the Sprint Division — if he can stay out of harm’s way.

(snip)
