Boy in 2002 incident denies abuse: Sandusky lawyer

STATE COLLEGE, Pa (Reuters) - The lawyer for the Penn State football coach charged with child sex abuse said in an interview on Monday the boy at the center of a 2002 incident detailed in the grand jury's report had been identified and said it never happened.

Jerry Sandusky, the former defensive coordinator for the Penn State Nittany Lions, was arrested more than a week ago on charges he sexually abused eight young boys over a 15-year period.

Speaking to sportscaster Bob Costas, Joe Amendola, who represents Sandusky, said "we anticipate we're going to have at least several of those kids come forward and say, 'This never happened.'"

Sandusky, in a telephone interview with Costas that aired at the same time, acknowledged he had horsed around and showered with children involved in the Second Mile charity he founded.

But he denied he was a pedophile.

3. The grand jury report says a PSU then graduate assistant testified he witnessed Sandusky and anally raping a kid in the shower of the PSU locker room.

This says it all. The numbers of the abused are staggering. It is sickening, but not as sickening as the reactions of those people who protect the abusers or even the potential abusers (those accused). The truth is, that a grown man showering with a child underage is extremely inappropriate, and is enough to consider abuse. Foolish man, admitted to that. I pray for evil to be exposed and for those touched by evil, to realize that evil cannot have them, they belong to God, and no evil can own you, unless you let it. God does not want you to. Let Him help heal and overcome what happened to them.

Oh yes, 60 yr old men shower with 10 yr old boys all the time, quite normal.

The boy was 8 in 2002, so now he is a teen(17-ish now), he has most likely witnessed the riots, etc.

What is being reported regarding the Grand Jury testimony are FACTS.

Sandusky will get his day in court, but that doesn't mean normal rational people can't make a decision based on the facts already presented, including the words from Sandusky's own mouth.

And there are plenty of self delusional individuals such as yourself who ignore evil.

Petrano should have gone to the police with this information.

A crime was witnessed by McQurey and reported as such.

Now, with Sandusky's own admission of showering with young boys and touching their legs (but,in a non-sexual way), we have individuals such as yourself trying to hide the truth with empty rhetoric, just like any lawyer would do who knows his client is guily.

We know that a indictment isn't a conviction, but the facts that are known are clear, the man is a pedophile and when he is convicted, I hope you and his other apologists will be around to admit how wrong you were.

And it makes no sense for Petrano to promote someone who he didn't believe, who was accusing one of his friends of a gross crime.

He believed him and did nothing but pass it on to the AD and then did not care if nothing happened.

You can bet, if that child had been one of Petrano's grandchildren, he would have done more!

We are indeed rational people, we hear Sandusky speak and from his own mouth condemn himself, but that doesn't seem to be enough for you REALLY rational people

So, for you, he was JUST showering with young boys and 'horsing around' but there is nothing wrong with that.

No desire to actually know about the truth.

We also believe in due process, but that doesn't mean we have to stop making reasonable moral judgments.

I think most people would agree that OJ was guilty DESPITE the jury decision!
