Ron Paul says that Republicans will be punished if they do not hold the line against tax increases in the super-committee negotiations and argued that his campaign was well situated to challenge Mitt Romney for the Republican nomination in a radio interview with Sean Hannity Thursday.
"If we capitulate, they will punish the Republican Party," Paul said in response to questions about proposed tax increases. He also said that Republicans needed to be thinking more dramatically about reducing the federal deficit.
"Even if they cut a trillion dollars over the next couple of years from the baseline budget it doesn't mean anything," Paul said.

So that’s why Ron Paul signed the letter with several other Republican RINOs calling for tax hikes?
Let me guess, just like earmarks, he will be instrumental in putting them in but then vote against it to keep his band of merry little tards happy?
Even here in NJ we cut without raising taxes.

Well, you better keep RuPaul in a galaxy far, far, away from this. Ron Paul just loves him some earmarks! In 2009, he brought home more pork to his district than Nazi Pelosi, Pete Starke Naked, Henry “The Nostril” Waxman, and Bawney Fwank, the Banking Queen.
Cut and Run Paul is just another Congress Critter, worthy of only scorn, ridicule, and frowns.

Ron Paul is absolutely correct.
It is hard to imagine that the Republicans would agree to tax hikes (any at all would be suicidal) even as they bend over and, by default, take the blame for “cuts” in medicare, social security, education, etc.
Talk about a lose-lose situation!
The scumbag Democrats are home free no matter what comes out of this laughingstock “Super Committee”. This is one of the most baffling exercises in political self-immolation by Republicans I have ever witnessed.

Rush says it is the Democrat "mainstream" newsrooms who continue to mischaracterize what the Republicans want when they talk about increased revenues. I'm not sure I'm buying, but it's up to the Republicans to reassure people and explain precisely what they mean by "revenues".
Tax hikes would be party suicide and they all know it.
That what it ‘could’ be in the theoretical sense, but that letter was drafted by a Democrat who is pushing for tax increases and doesn’t say at all anything about raising revenues by cutting taxes. A majority of the signers are those who are calling for increases in taxes.
