Dee Dee Myers, former press secretary to President Bill Clinton, goes on Meet the Press and calls Newt Gingrich a political "sociopath." Does moderator David Gregory call her out?

Nope. To the contrary, Gregory proceeds to play a clip of convicted felon Jack Abramoff accusing Newt of "corruption."

I remember her on a show back in her Clinton days, (Howard Stern or some non-political thing) being asked what the truth was on some issue. She laughed and said, “The TRUTH isn't a big concern around here.”

I've had a crush on her ever since.

A cursory search did not find the source but I remember a news report that Ms Myers said she wished that 9/11 had occurred when Clinton was President because he'd be a great wartime president.

No doubt in my mind that somewhere along the way Ms Meyers also labeled G.W. Bush a sociopath for his responses to the attacks.

It's all about politics and power. Period. America? What's that?

Newt - pressured by RINOs, quit when subjected to the first successful Saul Alinsky political attack.

Had he stayed. Had RINOs not pressured him to quit.

Clinton would have lost. Gingrich was an existential threat to the Clinton administration.

That’s why they attacked him.
