What Killed JFK (barf alert: "right wing" hatred threatens Obama..just as it "ended" JFK's life)
New York Magazine ^ | November 20, 2011 | Frank Rich

Posted on 11/21/2011 8:38:16 AM PST by Seizethecarp

Immediately after the assassination and ever since, the right has tried to deflect any connection between its fevered Kennedy hatred and Oswald’s addled psyche with the fact that the assassin had briefly defected to the Soviet Union.

America’s violent culture wars had started before JFK was shot. They were all on display in Oswald’s Dallas. At least in 1963, polling showed that only 5 percent of the country—a fringe—subscribed to the radical anti-government views championed by the John Birch Society and other militants of the right. These days, that fringe, whether in the form of birthers or the tea party or the hosts of Fox & Friends, gives marching orders to a major political party.

…read Manchester or 11/22/63 or any other account of that time, and the vitriol that was aimed at Kennedy in life seems as immediate as today. It’s as startling as that “You lie!” piercing the solemnity of a presidential address like a gunshot—or the actual gunshots fired at the White House last week by another wretched waif. In the end, that political backdrop is what our 44th and 35th presidents may have most in common. The tragedy of the Kennedy cult is that even as it fades, the hothouse brand of American malice that stalked its hero stalks our country still.

“I say it was a mob hit.”

Ding, ding, ding - correct sir!

Although many of the well known players were used as foils.

And it really had nothing to do with JFK or his policies - it was all about promises and deals old Joe made that weren’t kept.

What killed JFK? My dad always said 'A jealous husband'.

JFK would not be nominated in today's Marxist Democratic Party.

Liberal have real dissonance issues with the JFK assassination. This book explains it all, neatly and clearly:

Everything you say is so true. I remember it well myself. All this obfuscation about some sort of grand conspiracy is just crazy. It reminds me of TWA 800. We that saw it happen that night were pretty sure that a missile hit it, but the government obfuscated for days and eventually told us that fuel tanks just occasionally explode on planes and that is what happened.

A truly sick malevolence infests the heart and mind of Frank Rich. He is blinded by hate. He projects his own detestable sickness of the soul upon those he castigates. He is truly a pitiable creature, awash in his own wretchedness. May God have mercy upon him as his embittered being is consumed by the evil that spews from his lips and pen.

A little history. At the time the South was solid conservative democrat. They disliked Kennedy there hence the reason for his visit to Texas as he approached reelection.

Thus the media was very eager to let everyone know it was a marxist shooter NOT a right wing democrat.

That election was bought and paid for, and for thanks the mob got Bobby and his investigative zeal. They were not amused. Plus, Jack was fooling with somebody’s girlfriend.

I watched that program and I was struck by the frequent reference to Oswald as a Marxist, also.

Don’t you remember all the “Fair Play for Cuba” signs at all the big Tea Party Events.

And I should have added in my previous post that there WERE plenty of other groups mad at JFK and probably would have killed him given the opportunity. It was just the mob got there first.

I believe old Joe also promised the MOB that his son’s administration would ease-up, not go after them twice as hard.

And there is no disputing the fact that JFK could not have been elected (he didn’t win the popular vote) without Chicago, and the MOB delivered Chicago.

Good Lord! Only Frank Rich could pretzel-fit Oswald to Tea Paties.

Liberalism truly is a mental disorder.

Besides, Johnson killed Kennedy.

Looks like he's setting things up for an assassination from the left of Obama, with the suggestion already planted in people's minds that it was from the right. Very worrisome. Their version of the Reichtstag fire.

With regard to his life, Obama has zero to fear from the right, but had better watch his back when dealing with the left.

Yep.

It sounds like a repeat of what Clinton did in 1995.

Following the 1994 election, the left started a talking points campaign that the right wing extremist wanted to assassinate Bill Clinton and Rush was leading the charge.

Clinton took a trip to the Philippines in early 1995 and low and behold there was supposed to be an attempted assassination of Bill Clinton by al Quaeda.

Why did they choose the Philippine's for the set up, that's where Terry Nicholes was going.

Clinton knew about the OKC bomb plot well in advance and wanted to make it appear as if the right wing extremist had teamed up with the terrorist.

There was also a story fabricated before the OKC bombing about the Iraq govt. being involved with a bomb plot in the US.

They fabricated that story because the knew Tim McVeigh was running around with an Iraqi.

Shorty after the 08 election, the left started this exact same talking points only instead of Rush leading the charge to assassinate Zippo, the left said it was Glenn Beck leading the charge.

When UBL got popped they found one of the plots was to assassinate Zippo or other members of the adm. except for Biden.

Truly is amazing how the left always has their talking points in place for al Quaeda’s plots.

I didn't know LBJ was a "right-winger?"

With the help of J. Edgar Hoover. Robert Kennedy as Attorney General did not bow to Hoover as others had and none of the Kennedys liked LBJ. They considered him a hick. Hoover was protecting the mafia, claiming there was no such organization, and RFK was going after them hard, probably to protect his families own interest in nefarious activity.

LBJ killed others before the Kennedys, starting with an Agriculture Department investigator looking for the phantom silos from which LBJ's friend and close associate, Billie Sol Estes, was collecting storage fees from the government. Exposing Estes would also expose LBJ. The inspector was shot in the back six times with a bolt action rifle that was left at the scene. The coroner's ruling was suicide. The coroner was a friend of LBJ.

After JFK they killed RFK because of his political threat to LBJ and continuing opposition to Hoover. The prize in LBJ's fevered mind, other than continued political power, was Jackie. You should listen to the creepy calls he placed to Jackie, wanting to be John Jr. and Caroline's daddy. She also thought LBJ was behind her husband's death but she only said so in her last interview.

Hoover had rid himself of a pesky adversary.

The success of the MSM in transforming the act of what Jackie (correctly) called a "stupid little communist" into a crime of "right wing hate" was their most successful act of subversion, ever. Nothing else even comes close.

And it only took four days.

Do not ever think that this is not their preferred solution to the enormous problem that Obama poses for them.

Hillary cannot take him out (politically) because she cannot win without 95% of the black vote.

IF, however, the forces that created Obama can destroy him with a plausible right wing patsy, they would consider it very seriously - for that is the one way, the only way, for Hillary or another one like her to go into November 2012 with the black vote intact.

Pray that the Secret Service continues to be as effective as they have been since that day in November, now so long ago.
