Justice Department sues Utah over state immigration law

Washington (CNN) -- Utah has become the fourth state sued by the Justice Department for passing an immigration law that federal officials claim is unconstitutional because it pre-empts federal enforcement of immigration.

The complaint filed in Salt Lake City is much like the ones filed in Arizona, Alabama and South Carolina.

The government said it will soon seek an injunction to prevent Utah from enforcing some provisions of its law.

"The federal government is the chief enforcer of immigration laws, and while we appreciate cooperation from states, which remains important, it is clearly unconstitutional for a state to set its own immigration policy," said Attorney General Eric Holder in a release. "A patchwork of immigration laws is not the answer."

It is the states that created the federal government.

Ummmmm.....isn’t it the Feds responsibility to control the borders of our country to stop illegals from coming in? Last I looked, Utah doesn’t have international borders. Therefore, it’s none of the feds business. Just sayin.

And the Constitution limits FEDERAL powers, not state powers.

They better not send local cops to a bank robbery. It is a federal crime to rob a bank.

Eric is so terribly stupid. If the federales are NOT enforcing a provision of the law, then no state can be said to be pre-empting their prerogatives.

How many states has Holder sued or threatened to sue: Arizona, Alabama, South Carolina, Texas, Utah?

First off the USA never did set about marking its international boundaries ~ check out the Constitution to see if you can find a direct reference to national border or boundary.

That was a kind of "fun" exercise, right. Now, there are customs guys at your nearest international airport. There are funny little foreign people entering the country there as well, even in Utah.

Unfortunately, Eric is not stupid. He is doing exactly what Odumbo hired him to do. Eric knows he can do this and get away with it because there is no Republican in Washington who has the gonads to stop him. The criminal libs have the judges, Congress, and the media in their pocket and know that nobody can stop them.

And since the Feds have abdicated their responsibility in regards to immigration law this clearly means that the states can fill that role.

Article 1, Section 8 states that Congress may establish “an uniform rule for naturalization” and nothing more.

Fine. That means the feds set the rules for how someone becomes naturalized on their way to becoming a citizen. The forms that need to be filled out, classes to take, swearing-in, etc.

However, any non-citizen who is in the country WITHOUT a visa or other documentation and who is NOT going through the naturalization process is nothing but an invader. None of the states are trying to set their own rules for naturalization.

And since the feds plainly have no interest in stopping the invasion, it is up to the states themselves to call up their own militias to repel the invaders.

Time to bring this thing to a head.
