Can The Disgraced Van Jones Build A Left-Wing Version Of The Tea Party?

Remember Van Jones, the President Obama's "green energy czar," from the early days of the administration? He's the one who resigned after Glenn Beck and others exposed a video of him calling Republicans "assholes," and his dabbling in 9/11 conspiracy theories.
Well, according to Politico, he's back.
And he's apparently helping to shepherd an open-source left-wing political coalition that was inspired by the Tea Party. He calls it The American Dream Movement, and its slogan is "Rebuild the Dream"
I thought progressives were too quick to go from hopey to mopey during the past two years, Jones told POLITICO in a recent interview. They skipped the fight in the middle.
The tea party, he said, impressed him by the way they were able to gather so many organizations and individuals under an open-source brand. There just wasnt a voice on the economy for progressives and moderates that was coherent and passionate like them. I thought that was really fascinating, so I studied them.
The report from Politico is interesting, but it is hard to credit Van Jones with leading much. His conferences draw few people. And the sourcing in the story suggests that the Occupy Wall Street movement, which happened entirely apart from Jones' leadership, presents him with an opportunity.
Jones claims to have more organizing power than the Tea Party movement. That's a difficult claim to credit. There are hundreds of Tea Party or Tea-tinted groups working autonomously along with several regional or Washington-directed Tea Party groups that are competing with each other for activist-loyalty and patronage.

One thing you can be sure of, if CW II was to happen,
Van Jones and his ilk would be shooting at US.
Our local paper laid off a fine local columnist last week and has replaced him with a syndicated Van Jones column.
So long as hie’s not associated to it directly. I’ve had great success in shutting down people who support OWS by announcing they are endorsed by the nazis, commies and the kkk. They start with the “Oh, that’s not true!” and then I show them the videos...I’ve gotten apologies on a couple of occasions.
Why build an organization that's redundant with the Communist Party?
Based upon what ideas/principles? The Tea Party is based upon limited government, individual rights & lower levels of taxation. What would a “progressive” equivalent coalesce around? More free stuff? A communist utopia? Some other ridiculous unobtainium?
“Rebuild the Dream”
The Van Jones and Obama wants is the Socialist “Dream”. Rule from the top down.
Van Jones is a very dangerous man. He is worse than most fear 0bama is. Not only is he a marxist, but he has it within him to be a cold blooded killer in the mold of Stalin, or Che’. Of course this is in my opinion
The communists/socialists/marxists are already in position. Progressive Republicans and Democrats have bought in, and all we really need is a call from the masses, to put down insurrection of any sort. We are in a pickle right now. It is not something that needs to be in place, the framework is finished. One World govt, love it, or leave it...lol Where do we go? Hole up, and be a Patriot.
Yep. Followed by that "No Labels" nonsense.
Van Jones and his hippy commies tried to set up an OWS protest in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Three of the “revolutionaries” showed up. Then the city garbage truck parked in front of the commies, blocking their signs. They folded up an hour later and headed back to mommy’s basement.
Van Jones is a pitiful, incompetent jerk. He couldn’t organize an iced lemonade stand in a desert.
The problem with this inane drivel is that “the dream” has been rebuilt countless times already - by Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Castro, Che, Pol Pot, Uncle Ho, and many others, with results which have darkened the annals of history with ignorance and reddened them with blood.
Leftist version = Red Army and the Nazis
