Lets not forget that Joe endorsed Romney last time.

At best, or worst, Texans are divided on that issue.

You as one Texan with an opinion is offset by others who see his record differently, entirely so.

Such as myself.

But back to the subject that started this, if Sheriff Joe were to endorse Cain, or whomever else these posters follow, they would be singing his praises, but instead they insult him like they insult Perry.

My view is, Sheriff Joe knows the feds are the problem, just like Perry says, and he believes Perry will implement his Border Security Plan and secure the border within a year of being sworn in as President, exactly like Perry says he’ll do, and that’s why he would endorse him.

You're taking the short cut. Provide the evidence.

Unless you have only started visiting Perry threads today there is plenty of evidence of Perry's problems listed. Do a search.

Cain endorsed Romney, too.

Joe would not endorse McCain, naturally, given the history, so he picked someone else, but picked badly.

Better to have picked nobody than Mitt, but you can say the same about Cain.

What would you say about Joe if he picked your candidate, hmmmmmmm?

THere’s no way you would be yammering about how he endorsed Romney before, so let’s ignore or attack him now.

You, and the rest of those here who attack him now, would be singing his praises.

“Lets not forget that Joe endorsed Romney last time.”

Didn’t Cain also endorse him?

He's not that corny.

Spoke with a relative who works for the Texas Highway Patrol. Perry has all Hwy Patrol officers doing 2 week patrols on the border.

My relative told me he turned in 18 illegals to the Border Patrol. That is one lone officer and he is paid by Texas tax dollars, not Federal Tax dollars.

I take the words of Sheriff Joe and my 15 year vet relative to anonymous spammers and keyboard warriors on Free Republic.

What about his time as Lt.Governor and the 1 Republican Lt. Governor ever elected in Texas. Did he control things then?

Pay attention to how Sheriff Joe is treated by many who spam Perry threads with false information.

Important endorsement. Time to take another look at Perry.

How could you post this and not contact the wife?

I like Sheriff Jose and I like anita's boi toy, but I don't think he is the best pubbie candidate.

If laraza richardo would commit that the Sheriff would become his attorney general, I'd take another look at perry.

I'm still a Hermanator, with Newt in second place.

Forgive me as I am only on my second cup of coffee this morning; but I am having a problem grasping your point(s). Can you help me out a little :)?

Well I am actually making one point that goes to your point and then one that concerns the thread.

Perry was also Lt. Governor of Texas so the point that opposition makes about Perry being governor of a state with a weak office doesn't really fly.

the other point is that Sheriff Joe is a man of principle and he has an extensive record of achievement and is loved by conservatives. His support of Perry doesn't change that yet there will be some on FR (not you) who will begin to malign Sheriff Joe because of this endorsement. This endorsement seems to be based on principle since Perry is polling nationally around 10-14%.

So sheriff Joe is endorsing a open borders globalist? I don’t think so. I think it’s time you rethink what you say about Perry concerning that.<

“Unless you have only started visiting Perry threads today there is plenty of evidence of Perry’s problems listed. Do a search.”

Agreed.

“You’re taking the short cut.”

This is the penultimate liberal tactic. What it really means is “You’ve quickly and concisely refuted my liberal, nonsense, babble talk, and what I want you to do is spend a few hours arguing with me, while I cut and paste my response, thereby wasting your time, after which I’ll just ignore you anyway.”

Rick Perry is a big government liberal, and we’re not going to buy into his campaign. If I want criminals given perks for invading my home, I’ll vote Rick Perry. If I want Executive Orders saying what will be injected into my body, I’ll vote Rick Perry. If I want my money given away to corporate friends, I’ll vote Rick Perry. And lastly if I want to try and listen to a moron tell me how to live my life while trying to stutter it out over several minutes, I’ll vote for...Obama. Oh wait, you might have thought I’d say Rick Perry (also a bumbling, paid for idiot), well they do have a lot in common. No thanks, to either of them.

I like Sheriff Joe even though he endorsed Romney last election. His endorsement will not change nothing over the fact of illegal loving Perry. Token political moves aside, he did not enforce immigration laws or work to close the border.

Cain and Newt have endorsed Romney in the past also.

Palin endorsed McCain.

Past is past.

This is a strong anti-illegal immigration Sheriff and everybody knows it.

This is a Sheriff who wants the border secure.

He is supporting Perry.

So am I.

I just posted personal first hand knowledge that what you say is not true. I know one of many LEO's in Texas who are used as back up for border patrol and used to hold illegals until border patrol arrives.

I know this personally as do many Texans whose family member has to leave their town where they patrol the highways and go hundreds of miles away to help secure the border. It's not their job and it's not why they signed up but we pay for it with our own tax dollars.

You either do not know what you are saying or are purposely misleading Freepers, not to promote your candidate, but to tear down the best one.

Sorry Normy, We see what anti-illegal governors can do with AZ and Alabama. Actions count not your words here. And Perry has proven where he stands .
