Two weeks after a mysterious explosion at an Iranian missile base, a Washington-based research group has released a satellite image showing extensive damage to the site.

The image of the compound, near the city of Malard, doesn’t provide any clues as to what caused the Nov. 12 explosion, which Iranian authorities described as an “accident” involving the transport of ammunition. But it does make clear that the facility has been effectively destroyed.

Gee, are they calling the explosion today an accident as well? What was that Ian Flemming line? “Once is accident, twice is coincidence, three times it’s enemy action?”

An equally likely culprit is the Saudi’s.

The plot on their ambassador was payback for the earlier incidents.

They are now responding to that act of war with war.

Would you mind sharing the Google Earth coordinates for that?

I see cooling towers. Where are the reactors? Looks more like a natural gas power plant to me...

I spoke too soon. This is apparently the Montazer Ghaem Gas Turbine Power Plant using GE9001E gas turbines.

The coordinates of the severely damaged site are:
35° 37.450’N 50° 52.422’E

It was hit with multiple strikes, likely small-diameter GBU-39/40s. The blast damage to the building just to the left of the central road is interesting. The roof was blown off the structure and either flipped or was lifted to the right of its original location. Other buildings had heavy damage. There is no way ths was local sabotage or an accident. It could only have come from the air.

Thanks. I was looking north of highway 38 near Yusefabad. Interesting the “accident” happened during the middle of the day? Notice the bunker entrance about two miles to the east.

You are most likely correct on the SDB or aka “Sharp Hail”
