It’s surprising that Susan Combs is on board, for she is a former state director for Senator KBH. She did succeed Perry as agricultural commissioner in 1999.

You need to join me in switching to Santorum. It will probably be a short-lived candidacy henceforth, considering the kinds of voters that populate our little Republican primaries.

Didn’t a bunch of Georgians go into IA in January 1976 to boost their GA Jimmy?

Is this common campaign planning? Just wondering how Texans would take it if people from Iowa flocked into Texas to tell them how to vote. I can understand his hard core supporters being there, but to send out a message asking people to go there from Texas seems a bit odd.

Greg Abbott is possibly the best appointment Governor GWB ever made.

So you like Newt and Cain do you? Which one is your favorite, the alleged adulterer or the admitted adulterer?
To: smoothsailing
LOL, posse is probably not a good word to use. Do the people of Iowa really need 600 Texans to tell them who to vote for? And do you really want to bring lobbyists along? Lobbyists are one of the biggest problems in Washington, and that seems a bit odd that Perry would include them.
To: mylife
Well I was just wondering if that would be the final results. Of course I don’t want Newt to win the nomination for sure, but just wondering if he did would Cain be VP. Nothing more to look into. Just having a curious thought.

Susan is one of the coolest people I’ve ever met, all 6’1” of her. I’d be proud for her to be my governor, too.

Iowa also likes it when the candidates spend the money in their state.

She and Perry (and Abbott) share some of the same donors, so no surprise.
To: Tammy8
You make it sound sinister. They will be campaigning for Governor Perry just as the other candidates will have supporters campaigning for them. That is different that “telling people how to vote.”
