George Will: 'You can associate many things with Mr. Gingrich, but wisdom isn’t one of them'
The Daily Caller ^ | December 2, 2011 | Jeff Poor

Conservative pundits have been lining up to voice their frustration over the possibility that former Speak of the House Newt Gingrich could wind up being the 2012 Republican presidential nominee. And you can add Washington Post columnist George Will to that list.

On Friday’s “The Laura Ingraham Show,” Will responded to Gingrich’s recent remarks that being the smartest isn’t enough, but instead to be the wisest.

“Mr. Gingrich said it’s not enough that he is the smartest guy in the room, he also has to be wise,” Will said. “Now you can associate many things with Mr. Gingrich, but wisdom isn’t one of them. Surely the Republican nominating electorate should understand the fact that people have patterns. Don’t expect the patterns to go away. Expect the patterns to manifest themselves again. If Newt Gingrich has any pattern at all, and he does – it is a pattern of getting himself into trouble because he thinks he is the smartest guy in the room.”

How does one attain ‘wisdom’? By learning from your mistakes. A wise person does this by not repeating their mistakes.
Somehow Will’s comments are making take a second look at Newt. Will has been in DC too long. But this anti-Newt stance will be sure to get him invited to the popular holiday parties.

I’m still trying to figure out how he can be the smartest guy in the room, if he’s the dumbest guy on the couch.

Which is why it grates me when Will acts as if it’s his place to dump on Newt. No, it’s someone who actually gets it most the time, that should. And these days, Will simply doesn’t qualify.

As it is, it looks like he’s more interested in merely taking down one more guy, so someone else he favors more, and may be even worse can get the nomination.

I just don’t trust Will anymore, sorry to say.

Inside the Beltway, ELITIST, pseudo-intellectual, RINO, Conservative pundits (WHO HAVE ARE PARANOID OVER THE POSSIBILITY OF HAVING A "REAL" CONSERVATIVE GET THE NOD AND WOULD AS SOON SEE OBAMA GET RE-ELECTED, BEFORE SUPPORTING ONE) have been lining up to voice their frustration over the possibility that former Speak of the House Newt Gingrich could wind up being the 2012 Republican presidential nominee

There, fixed it

I am not a Gingrich supporter, but I think when it comes to intelligence and wisdom, Gingrich trumps the conservative wannabe George Will handily.

If ever there were a so-called conservative pundit I hate with extreme disdain, it is George Will.

Self-evident truths: 1. The Republican nominee for President will not be an ideal candidate for most of us; 2. The next POTUS will either be the Republican nominee or Barack Obama. I’d vote for a one-legged lesbian troll if that was the best way to remove Obama’s hands from the steering wheel, so by that standard Newt will suffice. It’s a distressingly low standard, though.

This worries me a lot about Gingrich. He’s capable of suddenly doing wacky things and has too much of a belief that he knows better than free markets.

George Will, smartest guy in the room.

Famous for . . . being a prissy gas bag.

He asks what would be left after eight years of Newt Gingrich.

No, George; wrong question.

What will be left after four years of Hussein Soetero Indonesian Muslim Communist.

George Will will be sent to the rice paddies.
