I hope you had a wonderful evening out!!!!

No, I didn’t write a summary of the debate, which wasn’t a debate...lol.

Each candidate had 11 minutes to answer direct, detailed questions posed by the three AG’s and it was such a wonderful format.

I think all six did themselves and their supporters proud!

I am certain Huckabee’s special will replay and perhaps you can set your recorder or watch it over this weekend?

I promise you that you will enjoy it.

where’s Huckabee? taking a nap?

This forum is just for the three Conservatives to question the candidates.

That eliminates RINO Huckabee, who is the timekeeper, from asking questions.

I did notice, however, that he arranged for Romney, who he has endorsed, to be the last one interviewed so that Mitt could observe the types of questions and answers given by others before his turn. Huck is a slimeball.

Newt’s a good talker but sometimes he can overdo his blab blab and that can be boring after awhile.

I’m also concerned about his activities for Fanny & Freddy...and support of the individual mandate in Obamacare.

He’s been so inside the beltway for so long that I seriously wonder if he would be for reducing the size of government and supporting states’ right!

Perry does come off as a door-to-door book seller:

- will say what he thinks you want to hear
- will say it over and over until you believe him
- will not stop even after its clear your not buying it
- will freeze and stumble when you catch him in a fib
- will toss his former script if a new script seems more likely to get more sales

You’re not on her New Ping List or you would know this!!!

You stated of Newt,..”he surely is comfortable in his skin”

Interesting that this is something I saw different in Newt from that of years ago...I’m going to say I think it has to do with his religious experience with God...there’s rather a calm assurance he projects I didn’t see before...it’s not the hard arrogance once projected...rather a confidence that he knows he’s right and unafraid to admit if he’s wrong. But it is noticable...interesting to watch and see him with that change.

Perry will say exactly how he wants to govern, that is why some have a problem with him. And that is why some want him to be the next POTUS!

Caww...there is not one candidate on that stage that has confronted or attempted to clarify a position on Islam. Perry has been invited and accepted and has forged a ‘mutual respect’ between the imam and himself. The imam, which he befriended (for lack of a better word) represents the ‘minority’ of muslims. In spite of what is popularly stated, not all of the islamic people are jihadists. There are some that are in a minority that are peaceful and they are targets in the middle-east.

Thanks for the info!

My wife and i had a nice dinner out with her mom and sister and on a walk in town I met young folks from NY and Texas there for a national young person’s congress and debate club competition.

My husband is all in for Newt Gingrich to the point where he watches his interviews.

He liked Herman Cain very much but knew (or said) he was toast once the media smears and lies emerged and went poorly answered.

While you are at it, Rick, why don’t you hold presidents to one six year term?

See my post 632 which gives evidence that Perry was NOT Gore’s Campaign Chair.

From: http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/article/2011/sep/07/legend-al-gore-and-rick-perry

Was your info from Wikipedia which can be inaccurate?

When you buy a Snickers bar at the 7-11, and its in your hand, you “owe” 75 cents for a moment in time. No one disputes that Gingrich “owed” up to a half million, and that that debt was noted a finance report. Newt claims he paid it back in 1 or 2 months. If that’s false, it would have been leaked to the media by now.

However...who the hell cares?

Again, when you have money, you buy expensive things. Good for Newt. Instead of festering resentment, go get your own cash, and then you can be cool like Newt & buy expensive stuff for your wife.

That would be my major concern, too. Maybe he's TOO comfortable there inside the beltway!

I think Gingrich can win the general election.
I’m with Rush on that.

I think this crap about none of of candidates can win is just that: crap.
