San Antonio, TX A young woman was fired from a Macys department store for refusing to violate her religious beliefs by permitting a young man dressed as a woman from entering the womens dressing room. Natalie Johnson claims she saw the young man walk out of the womens fitting room and politely told him that he could not go back in because it was for women only. The cross-dressing young man claimed that he is a female. Johnson said that he was wearing make-up and girls clothing, but clearly he was a male. The cross-dresser was accompanied by five other individuals. The group argued with expletives that Macys is LGBT-friendly, to which Johnson replied that Macys is also non-discriminatory toward religion, and that it would go against her religious beliefs to lie that he was a woman or compromise with homosexuality. The group then demanded to speak with a manager.
When Johnson was confronted by her employer, she explained that she could not allow a male to change in a females fitting room. Johnsons boss referred her to Macys LGBT policy which allows transgender people to change in any dressing room they want. However, Johnson pointed out that the same policy also protects against religious discrimination and, in this case, it protects her right to her beliefs that were being violated. The manager demanded that she comply with the LGBT policies or lose her job. Johnson refused to go against her sincerely held religious beliefs and was terminated from her job.

That is what they do in India and Thailand.
The Queens we Use would not excite you....
However if I tell them I am just a straight weirdo, do I get arrested?
ps
Advice to Macys, pull your head out of your butt before you more patrons of your store. Hey dude, that is San Antonio in Texas.
“you more patrons”
should read as “before you lose more patrons”
Going to have to go to Unisex dressing rooms now...I don’t know what they are going to do when the fights over the mirrors escalate.
That does it! I’ll be sewing my own clothes from now on.
Lately I’m becoming extremely sensitive about a lot of things. Just the thought of trying on clothes after they have been tried on by a trans,is repulsive. I don’t care if the dude thinks it’s a female, it has no business in a women’s dressing room unless it removes its “pen” before entering.
The solution is not patronizing Macy’s for firing someone who acted properly.
They just need to ask one simple question: Does the person posess “Y” chromosones?
Wilderness of mirrors and chaos.
Now we do not know what predator is going to use this as loophole.
This pro gay fiasco is a humane rights movement gone retarded.
Is Macy so retarded and guelded? Why arent there people sueing Macy for allowing gay abuses?
Macy’s is inviting perverted freaks to use whatever dressing room they please?
Aww-righty... I will not be visiting a Macy’s anytime soon, and I’ll be warning my family and friends.
That’s for sure.
Macy is into the whore sale of French make up and perfumes, so putting Obama brand lipstick on pig is their money.
It’s like turning medicine and dignifed use of plastic surgery to anything goes.
Not so much as a specific reply to you, but to all expressing a similar position. I am currently a seasonal employee at a Macy’s (was an IT project manager, thank you Obama).
Macy’s has probably been forced into this position by discrimination laws; local, federal, state - who knows. In my training it was stressed that men cannot work in the women’s departments (because of dressing room access and assistance) and in children’s only with special training and screening. There was no type of discussion about dealing with(or promoting)LGBT customers.
I have found Macy’s to be very respectful, albeit commercially, of Christmas and service to the customers. Saying and meaning Merry Christmas is fine. Here, Macy’s is probably between a rock and a hard place, and common sense is being trumped by a well-lawyered lobby.
I would have thought that the manager would have relieved the employee and monitored the dressing room herself until the issue has passed. Perhaps there are other issues in play here too.
Thanks for your kind reply. That’s a good post.
Macy's...can a HETROSEXUAL WHITE MALE change in the women's dressing room??
If not... could I sue for DISCRIMINATION??
I no longer shop at the mall, but instead I shop online. Who needs this insanity?

No kidding. Macy's is based in New York City, I believe, which may explain its policies.
I’m sure there are more women that spend money of clothes than these freaks. I’m also sure the majority of them do not want men in the dressing room with them. I suggest the sales staff actually start helping actual women.
That does not solve the problem.
Shoot, they've got my business. </s>
I’ve emailed this to my wife who will be emailing her relatives and friends and urging them to boycott Macy’s this Christmas. What woman would want some creepy guy in their dressing room?
