I honestly don’t believe Axelrod had much of anything to do with Herman dropping out. While the smears likely had some negative impact, I think it was the feeling in many (right or wrong) that he wasn’t quite ready on foreign policy affairs that turned the tide.

The fact that the floozies lived in Axelrod’s building and the fact that his grandbabies got death threats, is all just a coincidence.

Agreed, he was already on his downhill run before the main bimbo eruption hit the news, because of Libya, and "You go first, Newt" times three.

Since before becoming president, no one is adept in foreign policy.

Axelrod did the same thing to Obama’s opponenet when O was running gor the Senate. It worked then, and,to our utter destruction, the people believed him again! But he also was the father of the death threats? where there’s smoke..........
