23 Charged In Penn State Riots After JoePa Firing
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - Nearly two dozen people face charges stemming from the off-campus riot that broke out after Penn State fired legendary football coach Joe Paterno in the wake of sex-abuse charges filed against one of his former assistant coaches.

Authorities say charges are pending against 16 others.
The Centre Daily Times report says four of those charged are accused of tipping over a WTAJ-TV news van.

23 + 16 = 39?
Not an untidy sum, although there were probably more than that that shoulda been arrested. But, it’s a start.
As long as they’re not sent home with a slap on the wrist.
Well good to see Penn State holds “some” people accountable for their actions.
If these kids had been a popular coach raping a kid in the showers, they’d be in the clear right now.
>> The proper term is NAMBLAny Lions.
On the Perv State NAMBLAny Lions team, the most highly recruited position is “tight end”.
In fairness to the players....they have nothing to do with any of this.
In fact, they were in the news recently...

Either one is OK with me. . . . .
Are you sure? I heard it was WIDE RECEIVER. . . . .

They start out as tight ends, but after a few years catching for the team they *become* wide receivers. ;-)

We’re just joking of course. Penn State is going to be the butt of jokes (no pun intended) for years because of this.
But I’ll tell you what: with such a flagrant abuser in the program, you’d have a hard time convincing *me* that there no players who knew what was going on here. Everyone in the program shares some blame, from the university president down to the most junior waterboy (or “football technician” or whatever they call ‘em now).
you would have to ask those who played up until the late nineties.
Since then, none of the players had been coached by Sandusky.
I agree that this must have been known by the staff.
From what we are learning about the high degree of secrecy among the staff and adiminstrators, I highly doubt they shared their knowledge with the players.
It certainly would not aide their recruiting efforts would it?
Which is the whole point of this mess.
While we cannot be sure about this, it sure as heck looks that way.
HA HA HA. Nice one.
you would be surprised to know how much Nittany Lion gear goes through my daily wash! HA!
