Six rockets exploded in southern Israel Friday, including one shot down by the Iron Dome missile defense system. No damage was reported.
The barrage came hours after a Qassam rocket landed in an open area in Hof Ashkelon on Friday afternoon, following IAF strikes in Gaza overnight Thursday.

Six rockets fired. One shot down by "Iron Dome". That's a 16.6% kill percentage. System ought to be re-named "Porous Dome"!!
Who the hell sold this piece of crap system to the Israeliis?? The palestinians?
There is the possibility that calculations were made and they only shot at the one they thought posed a danger to populated areas.

That was my first thought, as well. It would stand to reason the telemetry data gives them an idea of where incoming projectiles are headed and choose/prioritize targets accordingly.
And the OUTRAGE by the MSM is sorely missing. It’s OK to fire 8 rockets into civilian neighborhoods but when you are fired upon it’s unfair?? I am constantly amazed at Israels patience. How many of us would allow even ONE rocket to land in our back yard without total retaliation? I stand with Israel, to the death. I will be glad when they make Iran a glass parking lot. They have been threatened with being wiped off the map so all bets are off the table.
That would be my take too. Why spend your resources on projectiles going wide or falling in the weeds outside of town. Hit the one that actually threatens.
If you bought a burglar alarm for your home, would you trash it because there were three break-ins the next block over, but it did stop the burglar who targeted your home? Of course not.
Did the missile shoot down represent 100% accuracy on the missiles they attempted to shoot down? If so, this thing worked perfectly. Gotta applaud that, if it’s the case.
It was developed in Israel and will only shoot at missiles headed towards predetermined areas.
There is a lot of empty desert in the area...no need to waste ammo on rockets headed towards there.
