Karl Rove: Romney’s Attacks ‘Flailing,’Long GOP Primary Hurts Obama (Tokyo Rove abandoning Romney?)
ABC News ^ | 12/9/11 | George Stephanopoulos

Posted on 12/10/2011 3:16:47 PM PST by jimbo123

Karl Rove thinks Mitt Romney probably should have begun attacks on Newt Gingrich much earlier in the presidential campaign, he told me on Good Morning America. But Rove is not convinced that a drawn out primary will hurt Republicans and he said a fight for their nomination could create a better nominee to face President Obama.

Rove said he is not very impressed with the attacks that Romney has launched so far. Today he described them as “flailing” so far.

Is Tokyo Rove turning? Or is this just a feint? Or did Romney's checks started bouncing? Enquiring minds want to know.

Geez, can’t anyone remember? Rove is a pundit, he gets paid for writing and saying controversial things that make people want to hire him.

Nothing he says should be considered any more valid than what you read in any ad or work of fiction. He’s not trying to predict the future, he’s trying to earn a boatload of money from people who think he can predict the future!

Rove is just doing what he does--chew the fat on tv for a living. He is vying with David Gergen, the long time champion of the verbal vacuum statement.

That’s right. For Romney, it’s all slipping away. Couldn’t happen to a better RINO. Not that Rove is showing any great insight, he’s had his own progressive-RINO problems, too.

Karl Rove - the Dick Morris of the Republican Party.

And by all means, make sure to watch your six and keep your toes tucked in.

Rove is flailing because Mark Levin has been ripping him as the scurrilous RINO back-stabbing sob he is—who F U Bush so bad in 2006 HE gave us Obama.

GOP elitist establishment traitors Rove,Will,Krauthammer along with the ersatz conservative pundits of the Weakly Standard,WSJ and NR scum have America screwed if we don't stop them.

What I don’t understand is the logic of Rove’s idea. What, should any front runner start an attack on someone who is near last in the polls? (That’s where Newt was “far earlier in the campaign.”)

The notion that Rove is a “boy genius” was always a croc IMO.

I just wish Rove would get the next flight back to Oz and quit pretending to be Fox's wizard of smart.

JMO--Rove is a RINO, but is beginning to see that the voters just ain't buying the stichk on Mittney. He is no genius, but nobody said he was dumb, either.

Rove has a lot invested--his political life, gave up his marriage, what's left if he strikes out and nobody wants him.

Another Rove RINO Scott Brown will lose in Taxachussetts. Karl Rove is the kiss of death.

When the pundit class figures out that Romney will lose the rats will desert the sinking ship. They are front runners.

Ignore the elites. They are a waste. Truthfully there is a lot more wisdom here on FR than in the beltway.

I've been fascinated to watch how emotional (and seemingly unhinged) Rove is. How poor W put up with his neurotic behavior is beyond me, lol

I wish I could have saved the link, but Karl Rove has been consulting with Newt over the past 3 months.

I agree with you - Rove worming his way back into the White House

The most disturbing aspect of Rove’s personality is his rabid misogyny and contempt for women. It’s not a surprise his wife left him.
