When: 9 p.m. EST, 6 p.m. PST, Saturday, December 10, 2011. Debate scheduled to last two hours.
Broadcast on: ABC Televsion.
Moderators: Diane Sawyer and George Stephanopoulos.
Candidates: Newt Gingrich, Mitt Romney, Ron Paul, Michele Bachmann, Rick Perry and Rick Santorum.
It defies all understanding. The Republicans time and again allow leftists to moderate their debates.

I think a lot of the Candidates intend to spend time with family during Christmas.
I think your analysis in on the money. But what question: Could you provide details - and maybe a link - on Santorum’s “upcoming Lincoln-Douglas debate with Gingrich”?

I just hope Newt will remain positive and on message. Keep the potshots to Mitt at a minimum and take it to Obama and the msm. Let Mitt take the cheap shots.
It appears ABC got approval from the DNC on picking the moderators. No surprise there.

Romney going first, given a chance to attack Newt — a good theory, except I can’t envision Romney starting out that way. He’s really not good at frontal attack and initiating same. They’ll need a very leading question.
Bachmann on the other hand would kneecap Newt without an invitation. So would Ron Paul!
Bachmann attacks other candidates as an end in itself. It never benefits her, but she just keeps doing it anyway. She likes it.
