Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney says the Muslims he knows are "peace-loving and America-loving individuals."

At a campaign event in Cedar Rapids Friday, the subject of how to handle the threat posed by radical Islam was raised.

As reported in the Des Moines Register, Romney reminded the gathering he had grown up in the Detroit area which has a large Muslim community.

This remark, last night’s debate performance and everything to date leads me to this: Mitt is weak, passionless, equivocating, tin-eared, plastic, stiff, awkward, and cowardly. And the more you see him, the worse he looks.

And so we have a bevy of Republican biggies, from Chris Christie to Anne Coulter who have endorsed this bag of mush. What does that say about the Republican establishment?

Okay, my decision is made. If I have to choose between Mitt and Newt, I’m going with Newt. He at least has the figs to call Palestinians what they are.

The only part of the debate I saw. Romney said he wouldn't upset the delicate process. Then it occurred to me that the process has been going on for 70 years. Newt countered that you have to speak the truth to solve problems and that upsets people, just like when Reagan called the Soviet Union the Evil Empire, or when he called for Gorbachev to tear down the Wall.

There are people who make a fortune or who make lucrative careers from the status quo like the Cold War or the Middle East Peace Process. Romney represents those people.

Most religious “people” are peace loving. Its when you have leaders that hate, and their followers take over, that you have a religion of hate. Most of the people in this world would rather be left alone and kept out of conflict. Its not so much the religion as it is the ones who control it and use it to justify their means. Some day the world will wake up, then again maybe not.

There probably are "peace-loving" Muslims out there, at the moment. However, where do these "peace-loving" Muslims go when a country is overrun and taken over by radicals who don't hesitate to remove the heads of any who disagree with them? How many of us believe that they would disagree with the radicals and lose their heads in the process.

Europe is in the process of being conquered by Islam as we discuss this. If we don't elect a president who will close the doors to these people and closely monitor the activities of those already here, we will lose our country to them before the end of this century. In our assessment of this situation, we should all consider certain facts. Paramount among those is the fact that Muslims breed like cockroaches and, population wise would, in a few reproductive cycles, overwhelm what is left of our republic and replace it with an Islamic caliphate.

I strongly urge that the few patriots who remain in this country (certainly a minority) set about educating others concerning this matter. Any who do will be labeled bigots, of course. We should not allow that to deter us. I sure as hell won't.
