PRESIDENT OBAMA: We ended up asking the wealthiest Americans to do a little bit more in terms of taxes. Going back to rates that would still be lower than they were under Ronald Reagan, our deficit problems would be solved.

I have not read or heard of ratings for this love fest last night. What was his pull? Wasn’t the Giants and Cowboys on at part of the same time? Ourselves, the Mrs. and I were at church thus did not have to even be in the same room with a TV, on or off, while he was on.

Democrat operatives love to rag on "gaffes" by Republicans in the primary. But consider that it's possible Obama actually believes that 700 billion can make a dent in a 10,800 billion debt. That would reveal a level of ignorance or silliness hard to overlook.
So maybe he didn't pull a fast one, but rather revealed an Achilles heel. This is an opportunity, a political gold mine for Obama's opponents.
