“Ron “is ok with Iran getting nukes” Paul doesn’t have a chance in heck of winning anything.”

I pray you’re right, because this news is disturbing to me. From what I’m hearing, RP’s campaign is very organized and focused in Iowa, has a lot of money, and keeps releasing hard-hitting ads.

Also too bad about Trump dropping the debate:-(

Speaking for myself, I'm just tired of the "fight them over there so we don't have to fight them over here" philosophy.
YET, thats preciously whats going to happen as we fly their people in by the thousands to live amongst us.
I include the Palestinians as well (some 20K in the last 2 years).
Makes no sense.
If we are to go to war with a country, leave their people there.
And the hell with the UN that dictates to us we have to take these refugees.

“I don’t get it...how can people who call themselves conservative just ignore his bleme-America-first, disastrous and dangerous foreign policy?”

It’s really scary that so many people aren’t more concerned with foreign policy and national security. For one thing, the economy is overshadowing everything and lots of folks love his gold standard, bash the fed preaching. For another, many (if not most) of his fanatics are kids who adore his peacenik, legalize-everything philosophies.

I like those numbers better - thanks. Now if only Rick Perry could surpass RP, but he needs the organization and money RP has.

“But for his goofy isolationist foreign policy, he’d get my vote.”

And that is a HUGE deal-breaker in my book. I mean, it’d be like asking, “Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how did you like the play?”

That’s because you’re Paulbot, of course you would think that. Under what circumstances would you actually support defending this country? Do you actually think that we provoked 911? How do you propose that we protect ourselves from Islamic terrorism?

“I don’t get it...how can people who call themselves conservative just ignore his bleme-America-first, disastrous and dangerous foreign policy?”

Because what you are calling "blame America" is NOT about blaming us or our country -- it's about blaming a foreign policy that hasn't been working. I understand why politicians and foreign policy wonks want to manipulate the message to turn it into " Ron Paul blaming America". What I don't understand is why those of us who never made those policy decisions, like you and I, are willing to take the bait and throw ourselves in front of that bullet that was clearly not directed as us as a country or as a people.

Re Iran, like I've said before, I am much more worried about how our current policies are destabilizing Pakistan -- Pakistan who actually has real nukes -- than I am of Iran who are can't even make enough gasoline for themselves, who are completely surrounded by us, and whose "nuke dreams" are just that -- dreams -- largely fueled by sheer terror that we are going to invade and destroy them.

“While I don’t like the idea of them having a nuke, North Korea already has one. As does Pakistan.”

Do you know much about Islam or what Ahmedinejad means when he begins virtually every speech with the prayer to hasten the return of the Twelfth Imam (the Mahdi) and his belief that it’s his personal mission to do that - by initiating global carnage? I’m sure a few others here can enlighten you. We’ve also had some very informative threads and referenced articles by former Muslims if you’re interested.

“Although it may seem contradictory, nuclear weaponry is the greatest assurance of peace in history.”

In the hands of rational, responsible powers who aren’t fanatical followers of the Islamic cult that loves death more than we love life.

During the Cold War, both Russia and the U.S. understood MAD - mutually assured destruction.

Iran is headed up by a zealous lunatic whose attitude is “Yes! Bring it on!”

You apply that "Cut & Run" BS to one of the only candidates up there who actually served in the wartime military and

I knew many who served with me during Viet Nam who did not do it because they loved America. They did it for a job.

who has more financial support from the active duty military than all the other Repub candidates combined.

And you know that is all bunk. If you had served you would know active military do not have an extra average of $500 to throw away on an anti-American fringe candidate.
Paulbots are well known for spamming of internet and straw polls. They are just as capable of putting any employer on their donation.
Obama's supporters do the same thing. As you know he comes in second place.

Who doesn’t assume RP may do well in the Iowa? And who doesn’t also recognize its because of his and his rabib followers spending so much time and money in Iowa,

Does he still have enough money to buy all the dope it is going to take to get someone to vote for him?

It seems you have been drinking the Republican Kool-Aide. The "War on Terror" is as bogus as the "war on drugs".

Where have you been for the past 60 or so years? Thanks to the subversives in our own government, we are hooked up with the communist-loving United Nations which has always taken the side of communism over freedom for as long as they have been calling the shots.

What wars have we won since 1947? For all our lives and money lost, what have we gained? Where is all the "good will" from countries around the world? Half the world hates us and the rest is afraid of losing our business. In case you missed it, we are broke and getting broker by fighting multiple wars and feeding tyrants.

FYI: our foreign policy is going to change anyway, either by design or by default. I choose intentionally, on our time schedule, in an orderly manner.

"What would Ron Paul and his followers have us do, sit back and do nothing?"

From his book: "Doing nothing is unthinkable"

"Ron Paul sees no problem with forgiving the mullahs who attacked us."

What would it hurt you to read his book? "A Foreign Policy of Freedom"

After all, Sarge, we wouldn't want anyone to accuse us of being ignorant, would we?
