Sure agree y’all.

However, for the lurkers, I want to end up with a compact, densely written, Biblical, historical refutation of their irrational, UNBiblical, unhistorical nonsense.

Should be easy enough to compile. It would just take some tedium and work.

Y'all's irrational perspective insisted that the Scripture referred to armieS as the Abomination of Desolation.

I documented with the Scriptures below that such an idiotic interpretation

could NOT possibly be true.

Still the irrational spewing dribbles forth.

Impressive. !NOT!

I think my Bro Marbren . . . at post #120 was quite accurate. Most such posts must originate in fear. Justifiable fear that their construction on reality is not working and won't work. However, instead of letting the fear trigger honest, fair-minded soul-searching and Bible searching . . . it seems to trigger more irrational defensiveness and outrageously illogical and unfactual assertions that are brazenly transparent and simply embarrassingly dumb.

Mark 13:14:
New International Version (©1984)
"When you see 'the abomination that causes desolation' standing where it does not belong--let the reader understand--then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

"IT" does NOT = armieS. LOL

Sure the Anti-Christ has armies. Clearly that verse is not talking about armies.

The most logical explanation is the classical one--AN IMAGE OF THE ANTICHRIST set up in the Temple to be worshiped as God.

New Living Translation (©2007)
"The day is coming when you will see the sacrilegious object that causes desecration standing where he should not be." (Reader, pay attention! [those with eyes to see and ears to hear]) "Then those in Judea must flee to the hills.

English Standard Version (©2001)
“But when you see the abomination of desolation standing where he ought not to be (let the reader understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

New American Standard Bible (©1995)
"But when you see the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION standing where it should not be (let the reader understand), then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains.

King James Bible (Cambridge Ed.)
But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:

International Standard Version (©2008)
"So when you see the destructive desecration standing where it should not be (let the reader take note), then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains.

Aramaic Bible in Plain English (©2010)
“But whenever you see the unclean sign of desolation, which was spoken of by Daniel the Prophet, standing where it ought not ( He who reads, let him perceive ) then those who are in Judea should flee to the mountains.”

GOD'S WORD® Translation (©1995)
"When you see the disgusting thing that will cause destruction standing where it should not (let the reader take note), those of you in Judea should flee to the mountains.

King James 2000 Bible (©2003)
But when you shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that reads understand,) then let them that be in Judea flee to the mountains:

Mark 13:14

The Message (MSG)

Run for the Hills
14-18"But be ready to run for it when you see the monster of desecration set up where it should never be. You who can read, make sure you understand what I'm talking about. If you're living in Judea at the time, run for the hills; if you're working in the yard, don't go back to the house to get anything; if you're out in the field, don't go back to get your coat. Pregnant and nursing mothers will have it especially hard. Hope and pray this won't happen in the middle of winter.

Well, it looks like Jesus Himself taught dispensationalism.....

Luke 21:20-24 20"But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation has come near. 21Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, and let those who are inside the city depart, and let not those who are out in the country enter it, 22for these are days of vengeance, to fulfill all that is written. 23 Alas for women who are pregnant and for those who are nursing infants in those days! For there will be great distress upon the earth and wrath against this people. 24They will fall by the edge of the sword and be led captive among all nations, and Jerusalem will betrampled underfoot by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

Keep in mind that the Dominionists are diametrically opposed to true prophecy. They think they need to set up control of all governments before Christ can return. If things are going totally opposite of what they think needs to happen it’s not their fault but the fault of all other Christians for not supporting and working with them in their minds. It’s going to be a scary world for them as things continue to deteriorate compared to their goals.

They think they need to set up control of all governments before Christ can return. If things are going totally opposite of what they think needs to happen it’s not their fault but the fault of all other Christians for not supporting and working with them in their minds.

That's not an uncommon mindset to find among Christians even in something like prayer.

There's the mentality that if we all agree and believe together for something it WILL happen and that if it doesn't it's because of the lack of faith of some person who didn't *agree* in prayer with everyone else.

Scripture is very clear that towards the end evil will only get worse. *As in the days of Noah*..... and *when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?*

If we're to set up everything for Jesus to just waltz in and take over, what's the point of Him coming as a warrior and defeating the enemy Himself with the armies of heaven behind Him?

Exactly, metmom. Thank you.

There is not one verse of Scripture to be found anywhere that states that men will "Christianize" the world, or that men will make things better before Christ sets up His kingdom.

And the fact remains that Scripture has to be discarded and denied for the false doctrine of Dominionism to be believed.

It is a spiritual blindness problem and an inability to see the truth of Scripture because of a lack of salvation.
