Yes, a balanced ticket - who can forget this.......

Archie: What’s the matter with this? I call this representative government. You’ve got Salvatori, Feldman, O’Reilly, Nelson–that’s an Italian, a Jew, an Irishman and a regular American there. That’s what I call a balanced ticket.

Meathead: Why do you always have to label people by nationality?

Archie: ‘Cause, how else are you going to get the right man for the right job? For instance, take Feldman there. He’s up for treasurer. Well, that’s perfect. All them people know how to handle money. Know what I mean?

Meathead: No, I don’t.

Archie: Well, then you got Salvatori running for D.A. He can keep an eye on Feldman. You know, I want to tell you something about the Italians. When you do get an honest one, you really got something there.

Meathead: Aw, c’mon, Arch.

Archie: Well, then here you got O’Reilly, the mick. He can see that the graft is equally spread around, you know. You got Nelson, the American guy. He’s good for TV appearances, to make the rest of them look respectable.

If its the guy I like then its ok if he does it. If it isn’t the guy I like then it is shameful.
In which case I usually take a poke at them. I think I win magic poking points for my efforts...?
Perry has moved up from 5th on my list to tied with 3rd..so I am not sure if I should take a poke at him...?

Listening to WHY Perry endorsed Rudy...it makes sense to me!

If I have to choose between two candidates, 1) one who is strong on security but is for gay rights, and 2) another who is tough for gay rights but lax on national security....I'm going to go with the candidate who is tough on national security every time!

We have # 2 now!

I, along with millions of other conservatives WILL deal with it- by not voting for Perry. So stick that in your pipe and smoke it.

You Perrywinkles have done everything possible to demean those supporting anyone but your guy, and then live some illusion that those same people will 'fall in line' behind Perry when others drop out.

Keep dreaming.

Sad that you are unwilling to accept that a great many people do like Perry. The world is made up of people with different opinions and in the United States our right to an opinion that differs from yours is protected. You need to get a handle on that because honestly you are sounding a bit unhinged, especially your misrepresentations of the Governor’s position on issues.

Actually, I have nothing personally against Perry, it's just that he has made a complete fool of himself repeatedly during the primary (along with Bachmann and Santorum. And my primary goal this election is to have our candidate destroy once and for all the false media-created narrative that Obama is some sort of genius, and Perry is wholly incapable of doing that. In fact, Perry might just do the opposite, and make Obama look like a genius by comparison. Newt on the other hand will expose Obama for the empty suit affirmative action poster-boy that he is, and shatter once and for all the myth of Obama’s supreme intellect.

Nothing would please me more than if Perry was able to fix whatever brain damage he has apparently suffered which keeps him from stringing two sentences together without losing his train of thought. But alas, that does not seem to be in the cards.

And we got stuck with McLame and his support for Obama.
Remember, Rudy for all his warts, wasn’t representative of the Washington establishment. Look at the labels they have put on him.
It’s nice to see that Perry must be coming back in the internal poling.
The race is a long one. The gutless behavior of our current GOP doesn’t bode well for insiders who keep cooperating with (selling out to) the communist left.

In my book (unwritten as of yet, of course), there was no way to separate Rudy and McLame. Rudy gets in the race early, sucks up the lion’s share of money and support, then decides not to campaign, basically leaving McStain the winner (or in our case, the loser). Huckabee and Thompson were only bit players. Odd, that at that time Romney almost looked good, when compared to what we got stuck (shafted) with.

Sad that you are unwilling to accept that a great many people do like Perry.

There is a mixed bag amongst the populace this year it seems. Only two, Gingrich and Romney, seem to be able to muster a lot of nation support in the polls. Now what will happen when the voters/caucus goers actual make a determination may look entirely different. There is a lot of effort put in chastising supporters of various candidates. The truth to me seems it is wasted based upon the apparent acceptance of them amongst the potential selecting participants. IMO, a lot more would be gained by boosting one's on candidate then spending major time/effort in knocking the others. But then that is the way some people's makeup is structured.

For what it's worth at the current time in the cycle:

2012 Republican Presidential Nomination - Real Clear Politics

Poll Date Sample Gingrich Romney Paul Bachmann Perry Santorum Huntsman Cain Spread
RCP Average 12/7 - 12/16 -- 32.4 22.6 9.6 8.2 6.8 3.4 3.4 -- Gingrich +9.8
Gallup Tracking 12/11 - 12/16 1000 RV 28 24 10 8 6 4 2 -- Gingrich +4
Reuters/Ipsos 12/8 - 12/12 443 RV 28 18 12 10 12 4 5 -- Gingrich +10
Associated Press/GfK 12/8 - 12/12 460 A 33 27 9 9 6 3 2 -- Gingrich +6
Pew Research 12/7 - 12/11 504 RV 33 21 8 6 4 3 3 -- Gingrich +12
NBC News/Wall St. Jrnl 12/7 - 12/11 271 RV 40 23 9 8 6 3 5 -- Gingrich +17

I've worked with intelligent, capable leaders in my 35 year career and I can say without a doubt that Rick Perry would not make it in the real world. He doesn't have the goods.

You can put this in your book when you write it. Rudy Giuliani would NOT have played patty cakes with Obama. He would have campaigned hard; gone after the Marxist like the prosecutor Rudy is (like Christy).

Instead we watched McCain on the floor of the Senate the other day (most likely talking to the cameras in an empty chamber) railing on the disgraceful president and the how he withdrew the troops. McCain could have been in the White House but he didn't FIGHT for it. Rudy would have FOUGHT.

Perry will FIGHT!
