I think Harry Connick's The Happy Elf is particularly loathsome.

Paul McCartney’s “Wonderful Christmas Time” song completely Paternos his legacy as a songwriter for the Beatles.

Ditto on the George Michael and Band Aid’s songs.

Worst: Greg Lake “I believe in Fater Christmas.”

very nice music, but the lyrics are not those of a believer.

They sold me a dream of Christmas
They sold me a Silent Night
And they told me a fairy story
‘Till I believed in the Israelite
And I believed in Father Christmas
And I looked at the sky with excited eyes
‘Till I woke with a yawn in the first light of dawn
And I saw him and through his disguise

Worst:

Do they know it's Christmas? Bob Geldalf

This song is nothing more than a guilt trip to make us rich capitalists feel bad over Christmas because children in Africa are starving. I hate the song, I hate the lyrics. I run for the mute button whenever it is played.

Worst: “Last Christmas” by George Michael.

Can't disagree . . . hate to hear any words of this absolutely stupid song. Can't believe he was allowed to record this monster.

Speaking of "Do They Know Its Christmas", I love how all these rich rock stars lecture the rest of us with these patronizing songs and feel that they are making a difference somehow. After they are done recording the song, they probably take their limos to a champagne cocktail party where they pat each other on the back and feel good about themselves.

"Feed The World" indeed.

The Bono verse in the song is especially patronizing: "Well tonight thank God it's them instead of you"
