Egypt criticises Hillary Clinton's 'interference'

Egypt's foreign minister has criticised foreign "interference" following impassioned comments by US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton denouncing the stripping and beating of a female protester. "Egypt will not accept any interference in its domestic affairs," Mohammed Amr told reporters. He said Cairo was seeking "clarifications over any statements by any foreign official regarding internal Egyptian matters." (Snip) On Tuesday, the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces which took power when Mubarak was ousted, apologised to "the great women of Egypt over transgressions that occurred during recent incidents in the protests outside parliament and cabinet."

US aid to Egypt is a bribe. 1st, not to close off the Suez canal, and second to refrain from attacking Israel or arming her enemies. We have been giving huge amounts of military hardware to Egypt. They could cause a great deal of havoc if provoked.

It was idiotic of Obama and his administration to stir the pot.

No different at all. The Sec. of State is the voice of the president. I am not only speaking of this comment, but also of all the lead to it as well. Obama has done everything in his power to ruin this relationship- and create a military crisis in the process.

Women are abused in Islamist countries? This is news? This is all part of the overall creation of the Greater Caliphate so much assisted by Obama with US blood and treasure under current management.

And the "they" is the Muslim Brotherhood. They will soon have the hardware and they have NO intentions of being friendly with Israel.

IMO this is all part of Obama's plan to deal with Israel. He didn't give the first overseas speech of his administration in Cairo for nuttin'.

And she said nothing that I recall about the protesters' gang rape months ago of a western journalist.

And Assad's been gunning down women as well as children and men, almost all of them completely unarmed. Maybe Egyptian troops should cut the BS and just open fire, huh Hitlery?
