Seven People Found Dead in Dallas-Area Apartment Published December 25, 2011

GRAPEVINE, Texas – Seven people believed to be related had opened their Christmas gifts and started cleaning up the wrapping paper when they were shot to death in a suburban Texas apartment, police said Sunday.

Authorities said they believe the shooter is among the dead, but got a warrant before doing a full search on the small chance that it was otherwise.

Four women and three men, aged 18 to 60, were found in an adjoining kitchen and living room area when police entered the apartment around midday, said Police Sgt. Robert Eberling. Two handguns were found near the bodies in the apartment that was decorated for the holiday with a tree, he added.

"It appears they had just celebrated Christmas. They had opened their gifts," Eberling said.

The victims have not yet been identified, but Eberling said it appears they all died of gunshot wounds. He said authorities still don't know what sparked the incident.

Grapevine Police Lt. Todd Dearing said investigators believe that all the victims were related, but that some were only visiting and didn't live in the apartment. He said police are looking for other relatives to inform. "Seven people in one setting in Grapevine, that's never happened before. Ever," Dearing said.

He said police were performing a "meticulous" search of the apartment and he expects them to be on the scene for many hours. Police and firefighters first rushed to the Lincoln Vineyards complex after receiving an open-ended emergency services call at about 11:30 a.m., Eberling said.

"There was an open line. No one was saying anything," he explained. So police went into the apartment, located in a middle-class, suburban neighborhood of Grapevine, not far from the upscale Fort Worth neighborhood of Colleyville.

Misread it. Why did they have to insert “silencers” to the story?

“Divorced.
Or soon to be.
Ex-husband getting screwed by ex-wife.
Ex-husband sees no other way to resolve said situation.
Merry Freaking Christmas.”

You missed the dirt-bag lawyers that stood to profit from all this.

My mother was 21 when I was born, but still had both of her grandmothers, but her mother had been much older, so both of those great grandmothers were gone by the time I was 5. I was in my 40s when I lost both my grandmother and my mother. My dad is my daughter’s only grandparent. My MIL died 3 weeks after my husband and married and his father had been gone 5 years before we met.

I don’t know.
It seems very odd.

Ready to get back to work.<<

We chose to be happy, my FRiend.
I spent many a Christmas with my cat, parents dead, no husband, no kids.
But I chose not to hate the holiday. I chose to be happy. You can too.

I wish you peace.

We don’t call them the “Fort Worth Red Star” for nothing. They had a red star on their masthead for years and may still have it to this day. Judging from the left wing extremist hate propaganda that they write, I really believe the star was a tribute to the USSR.

A resident described the complex as a kind of quiet "United Nations" with different ethnic groups living there with almost no crime.

True, but sometimes life's circumstances make that a difficult choice...

Seems that the poorer we get, the more I like Christmas.

Money can't buy happiness

Although it can put you in a much better bargaining position...

The Lincoln Vinyards apartment complex is a very well kept, gated community. I live less than a half mile from the complex and have considered selling my house and moving there. Residential houses in this surrounding area average around $225k-over $400k and there is very little crime. This is not a ghetto or barrio area with illegals and Holder’s people running around committing crimes and doing drugs. This was the first incident involving murder in Grapevine since 2010.

Watched local TV news at 10 pm and they indicated that relatives of those dead haven’t all been located and notified yet, so the police are not releasing the names. They are searching the cars of some of the victims, who were obviously not residents.

FoxNews obviously reported the headline from the Assoc. Press, because Grapevine is NOT in the Dallas area and is not even in the same County. Dolts!

It's doubtful those involved were Texans or even Americans. The apartment complex was characterized as a multi-ethnic "United Nations" by one of the residents.

I never said I thought the perps were Texans. It's just that I've been told since August that Texas is the most perfect state in the Union, so I'm a little surprised at this imbroglio—

Wow—not very far from where I live. On Christmas Day too.

Did you get a chunk of coal in your Christmas stocking? Texas isn’t perfect, but it’s a whole lot better than most other places these days — thanks to Gov. Rick Perry.
