The Five On Ron Paul’s Iowa Lead: ‘Crazy Uncle Is Driving The Car’
mediaite ^ | Frances Martel

Posted on 12/26/2011 3:39:50 PM PST by TBBT

With the Iowa caucuses a week away, The Five revisited the 2012 Republican presidential landscape to find what the polls were looking like in the week between Christmas and New Year’s. And it appears that, despite a rough week of racist newsletter coverage, Rep. Ron Paul is still on top. What did the panel compare this development to? Greg Gutfeld noted that, to some that had worked with the Congressman, it was as if “Crazy Uncle got too far.”

Gutfeld cited a “great blog post” by a former Rep. Paul staffer who had described the experience of working for the Congressman, and appeared somewhat surprised at the heights the Congressman had risen to as a presidential candidate. Dana Perino noted that this may be why many voters are asking themselves why they had not heard of the more extreme problematic issues with Rep. Paul as a frontrunner before, despite him running for president twice (once as a Republican and once as a Libertarian)– because the media didn’t bother to vet him as strongly as they had other candidates because no one anticipated his rise in the polls. Gutfeld joked that seeing Rep. Paul in the lead for Republicans must be like “crazy uncle is driving the car.”

Yeah, great, let's use Ubama's driving metaphors against ourselves.

It's not enough that he does it.

Hey, the Media needs to keep all the dirt on Romney fresh for after the nomination so they can beat him up with it to get Obama elected.

Which is exactly what they did to McCain in 2008 and McCain never knew what hit him.

What is the composition of pele polled? Generic adults? Registerd Republicans? Registered Republicans who are likely caucus goers? I don’t trust polls, or the media outlets that commission them. They are not intended to reflect opinion. They are out to manipulate opinion.

Your absolutely correct. The Soros controlled media have already decided that there is going to be another 4 years of hope and change. Ron Paul, and Mitt Romney are their contingency plan just in case.
We are less then a year away from an election, and the MSM have completely destroyed their main threat Palin and Cain. It only goes to show how powerful they are.

Who is picking up the multiple calls we in Iowa are getting right now?
How could a poll based on calls possibly be meaningful?

I feel sorry for you, because if that racist and Anti-Semite nutbar wins in your state, Iowa will forever be the brunt of jokes and ridicule.

Ron Paul THE most conservative of all 3,320 individuals who served in either or both the House and the Senate from 1937 to 2002.

It takes a bit more than having ‘some’ conservative views.... it helps to be sane.

“Keep the slander going! You sound like some kid at the 7-11!”

Tut-tut. The idea of these threads is not to use logic or to extol the virutes of conservatism, it’s to see who can howl the loudest. The person who can say “Ron Paul is CRAZY!! NUTS!! COMMUNIST!! ANTISEMITIC!! RACIST!! the loudest and most frequently wins.

You’ll have to do better if you want to be in the running ;-)

Thanks.Actually. it seems to me that the move ordinary people hear what Ron Paul actually says, instead of what his detractors have to say about him, the more they realize that what he says is not crazy - it makes sense.
