Current federal law prohibits a nationwide student database and strictly limits disclosure of a student’s personal information. However, like so many Obama administration initiatives, the DOE determined it could ignore the legal obstacles by simply bypassing Congress. The administration wants this data to include much more than name, address and test scores; its goal is to collect information on health-care history, family income and family voting status. It views public schools as a goldmine of data available from a captive audience.

“As of Jan. 3, 2012, interstate and intergovernmental access to your child’s personal information will be practically unlimited. The federal government will have a de facto nationwide database of supposedly confidential student information.”

Maybe Congress, if it had any Gonads, could ignore the DOE and defund the entire department.

Hey, I don’t have any kids but, if they want to watch the two next door, or the three down the block or the four across the street- and make sure they’re not on my lawn...well...I say, more power to ‘em!

For progressives (communists) the people are property of the state, especially the children who need to be trained to government standards.

Why do this to a generally successful culture? Why are they trying to divert the American self-reliance success story to something that has failed over and over?

It must be money although I’m not sure who is at the top of this heap and why they’re not content with what they have....I know...stupid comment...but I truly don’t understand the mind set.

Please make your ping list aware of this.

This is precisely why I decided to homeschool years ago.

How about if the federal Department of Education and Department of Labor scrutinized your son’s academic performance to see if he should be “encouraged” to leave high school early to learn a trade? ...................................... That’s not anything new. Board of Cooperate Services took students out of school to learn at a trade school. As a former teacher, I feel it is a great idea. Our kids aren’t all cut out to be doctors, lawyers, or rocket scientists. Some people work better with their hands than their brains. One must be happy in what they are doing, if your goal is high and you have the ability to achieve it, then go for it. If its something that will make you happy, then who is to say no. Our problem in schools, as I see it, is student motivation, not Gov’t. intervention. There are vocations out there that the average student is completely unaware of, as in most cases their parents too. Its not all bad.

I’ve known for some time that the accepted practice is for newborns to be assigned a social security number before they even leave the hospital, and I thought that was scary, but a conversation I had with a young mother recently left me appalled.

She said that her baby had to go to the hospital because he was having seizures.

“Why,” I asked, “is he having seizures?”

“It’s because of the high fever he gets every time he has an immunization shot,” she replied. “It happened last time, too.”

“Why,” I prodded, “if he has seizures every time he gets one of these shots, do you keep getting them?”

“Oh,” she said, sounding alarmed, “if he doesn’t have a complete record of these immunizations by the time he’s old enough for preschool, they won’t accept him!”

God help us.

In Feb. of 2008, Cliff Kincaid wrote in the DC Journal about “Bath-House” Barry’s Global Tax Proposal; this included the “Convention on the Rights of the Child”, as well as making the U.N. “the indispensable common house of the entire human family, through which we will seek to realize our universal aspirations for peace, cooperation and development.”

Essentially, “Bath-House” Barry wants the U.N. to raise our children.

We knew of this in Feb. of 2008....but we didn’t vote for “Bath-House” Barry because of the color of his skin./sarc.

Doctors now fill up children’s files with their answers to personal and inappropriate questions on themselves and their families. Those files belong to the government under Deathcare.
