Experts not sure if woes, from hair loss to bloody lesions, tied to Fukushima nuclear plant.

SEATTLE — Scientists in Alaska are investigating whether local seals are being sickened by radiation from Japan's crippled Fukushima nuclear plant. Scores of ring seals have washed up on Alaska's Arctic coastline since July, suffering or killed by a mysterious disease marked by bleeding lesions on the hind flippers, irritated skin around the nose and eyes and patchy hair loss on the animals' fur coats. Biologists at first thought the seals were suffering from a virus...

The first dead seals started showing up back in June/July. We are only hearing about it now because the locals demanded radiation testing. Otherwise our glorious leaders would have swept it under the rug. This is Alaska. One of the 57 US states.

I’m old enough to remember how the media went wacko over Three Mile Island and Chernobyl. And I’m wondering where all the MSM’s hysteria has been. Why this nuclear nightmare is getting such different treatment.

A corrupt, calculated coverup and obfuscation of the facts.

And the only reason the world wide public has accepted nuclear power plants in their neighborhoods, is because the government was supposed to insure the safety of the plants. Our corrupt governments have failed us miserably. And it is not the first time. Nor will it be the last.

You wont believe the latest. Apparently a design flaw caused the initial hydrogen explosions at Fukushima. It should have been caught in testing and certification. And apparently a lot of their old plants have the design flaw.

Forgot to add, that the reason the locals demanded radiation testing, is because the Alaskan Eskimos actually eat seal meat. They probably wanted to know if it was still safe to eat.

Naw, thats dumb. Its because the Japanese are still able to control the flow of information, unlike here. They clamped down on this hard, and the fact that it was in the midst of a national disaster made it easier.

Good point. My guess is they are going to blame Hydrazine which the Japanese reportedly pumped heavily early on into units 3 and 4. Hydrazine is extremely toxic to sea mammals. What the G Men probably wont acknowledge, is that Hydrazine also absorbs I-131.

I recently had my radiation survey meter repaired and calibrated by www.KI4U.com

Now I can check my seafood and seaweed in the store.

All the important information we are getting is coming from the Japanese. Their blogs are the source of the info. Their government tried to clamp down on information, but they failed. You would not believe how strongly the Japanese government was trying to clamp it down. American MSM is not reporting any of that. Or only reporting what they are forced to acknowledge. Obama is a nuclear power supporter. It was part of his clean and green energy strategy.

Note - That above link is to an anti-nuke site. They frequently over hype situations, but you can find decent breaking news there sometimes. Also, some of the reports there are straight Google translation of Japanese and are very difficult to read.

Might not be easy to test in a store. There is a Japanese video at the link below that shows testing of a fish in Japan. That person had to wait awhile for the reading to peak. Do not know why. All new to me. Do not even have a meter myself.

Germany has allowable radioactive readings for wild boar meat sold to the public. Guns are outlawed their but government approved hunters shoot wild boar but need to carry a Geiger counter to initially check the kill and a butcher checks it again. Wild boar root out mushrooms which have an affinity for absorbing radioactive fallout on the forest floor.

These days if that sickness is not caused by Fukushima, it is a consequence of global warming.

They have been promoting the warmer water equals more disease line of reasoning for quite a few years. However, the far Northern Pacific waters have been colder then normal since the summer.

If the current trends continues, the entire North Pacific might turn colder then normal.
