No Friend of the Middle Class (Obama needs, “to destroy the middle class in order to save it.”)
American Spectator ^ | 12.30.11 | Ross Kaminsky

Posted on 12/31/2011 1:48:26 AM PST by neverdem

By his reasoning, Obama needs to destroy the middle class in order to save it...

--snip--

But this isn't just a job killer. It's a middle class killer.

"According to EPA's Regulatory Impact Analysis, the final Utility MACT rule will increase electricity rates by up to 6 percent in some regions of the U.S. When combined with CSAPR, electricity rates are expected to increase by up to 23 percent in some areas. National Economic Research Associates projects that Utility MACT and other EPA regulations could increase electricity and other energy prices by $170 billion by 2020."

And while your electricity prices are rising, your electric system reliability will be falling:...

--snip--

The EPA claims its rule has health benefits, but detailed analysis shows its claims to be based on "co-benefits" of reducing air pollution -- something that could be done in a much simpler and less expensive way through existing rules. In fact, "monetized benefits" are estimated at reaching, at most, $6 million per year, less than 0.01% of the rule's total costs. Meanwhile the EPA argues -- I kid you not -- that the rule offers economic benefit by preventing an average loss of 0.002 IQ points in newly born children...

--snip--

But this is not -- as Obama would have you believe -- about Republicans standing up for "millionaires and billionaires." It's about American politicians not standing up for America. It's about the Barack Obama's never-ending quest to divide and conquer this nation by pitting us against each other. The good news is that it's not working. The bad news is that it's not not-working by enough to allow one to feel comfortable that Americans will refuse to re-elect the greatest enemy of the middle class who has ever occupied the White House.

The left always rails against the rich. They never mention that their real target is the middle class, the small business owners, the bourgeoisie, their true nemesis. There are not enough rich people to finance the left's utopia.

Obama’s goal is to beat down the middle class and make enough of them insecure enough to join his coalition of the welfare entitlement lower class, illegal aliens, educated cultural elites and identity and special interest politics fanatics to get re elected in 2012.

“..by preventing an average loss of 0.002 IQ points in newly born children...”

How the hell did they come up with that figure? The EPA is trying to rule every aspect of our lives through fear, not facts.

Meanwhile, they are forcing us to use mercury filled lightbulbs that if you break one the entire neighborhood has to be evacuated!

Back in ‘08, I thought Obama would be growing the middle class to the point that there would no other class of society but the one his ideology depends upon for it’s sustainance.

Easier to bring down the middleclass to a level of dependency already in effect than to encourage and support the impoverished and the lazy to work and make something out of themselves. He mentions the middleclass in each and every speech and in each and every speech he gets the lemmings excited with hope and change. He is a devious arrogant liar. The middleclass stands in his way and is the #1 target for erradication

Karl Marx himself said that the destruction of the middle classe (bourgeoisie) was a sine qua non for the establishment of world-wide communism.

Why must the Middle Class be destroyed? The Rich are to be the target of rage and envy. The “workers” are necessary as serfs. The Middle Class are capable of resistance.

Son, it’s the rich who are in charge of doing this.

The rich are in the Congress, They are the ones doing this.

Buffet and the other rich buffoons who asked for more taxes. What a joke. The rich will get richer and the Middle class will pay the bills.

The President cries for the poor and people without jobs-—Yea he cries all right, while snorkeling in Hawaii. He cries while rationing health care for older American and ruining your dollar. No man that is living like Obama is living so high on the hog as to be ridiculous can possibly give a good damn about the poor NO ONE ALIVE is that big a hypocrit. He is doing exactly what he wants to do——— impoverishing America and destroying us.

Karl Marx said that it is the bourgeoisie, not the proletariat nor the ruling class, that is the impediment to the implementation of communism and that the annihilation of the middle class will be necessary for world-wide communism to be established. He also pronounced that once communism is established government will become unnecessary and will cease to exist--and a few other hare-brained ideas that the Morons of the World have united around.

All this assumes that I remember History 101 correctly. It's been a while, but my IQ has been tested and scored in the genius range--not unusual, I know, for those posting on Free Republic and something to which I attached very little significance until I realized how many Morons there are out there armed with the vote and registered as Democrats which in itself is a reliable IQ test.

Although fubo is assisting in destroying the middle class, the middle class itself has to take responsibility for destroying itself... let me explain before I get flamed..

if you watch Leave it to beaver, mad men, etc., the middle to upper middle managers, who made good money, lived in modest homes, with one car, and very few luxuries..they were frugal, lived within, and sometimes below their means, and had money in the bank...

fast forward to 2007, and look where the average middle class person lives today.... 2400 to 3500 square foot mini mansions, with 2 cars, a boat, off road vehicles, ten thousand dollars in kitchen appliances alone, and little to no savings. These people then decided to put second and third mortgages on their homes to buy the toys, take exotic vacations, and send the kiddies to university instead of the local community college.

when the bottom fell out, they lost everything, and now scream that the government did it to them. Nobody put a gun to their head to take that vacation to the bahama’s... or to buy the 23’ power boat... they did it to themselves. I remember driving around my area, looking at the subdivisions going up with the minimum 2400 square foot house, and I used to ask my wife, “ Who the hell is going to live in all these houses? There ain’t that many doctors and lawyers here”. Well, most of these subs are now empty, with repo stickers in the windows.

The middle class has committed suicide. Fubo is merely assisting ( and rather aggressively at that )

I read an article the other day that suggested the middle class on whole was living 10% beyond their means leading up to the housing crash. They used the home as an ATM machine to offset stagnant wages after the last recession.

Bingo..... I have relatives that did exactly what I described in my first post, along with friend and aquantances that lost it all.... but none of them will admit any type of fault.... now to be fair, some did get caught with their pants down, but for the most part, it was a large percentage living beyond their means...
